I sit and dream of paradise,
What will it really be like?
Will there be trees and flowers,
Or trails that I can hike?

I have heard of the pearly gates,
And the new Jerusalem with its jewels;
But jewels and pearls don't impress me,
I'd rather have flowers and clear water in a pool.

I know there won't be sunshine,
For God Himself will be the light;
I know there will be no sin or pain,
And Jesus' face will be in my sight.

I know there will be beautiful music,
Because all the angels will lovingly sing;
I will see family I have missed,
And there will be much rejoicing.

My paradise dream is filled with questions,
But my God I know I can believe;
His word promises joy and happiness,
And His eternal gift I will receive.
