Easter 2025

Jesus came humbly into our world,
He came to bring joy, salvation and peace;
He came to show us a new way to live,
He came to give life a new lease.

He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane,
He didn't want to face the cross;
But His Father let Him know,
Only He could save the lost.

What He suffered that day was ugly,
Unbearable pain was felt by Him;
But hanging on that cross,
He paid for all our sins.

Three days later women came to the grave,
But the stone was rolled back and the body gone;
They were confused - they didn't understand.
Jesus body was missing, the one to whom they were drawn.

But a surprise brought so much joy,
For Jesus was raised from the dead;
So Easter is a day to celebrate.
For He is alive as He had said.
