Sometimes my plans get thwarted,
And many would get upset;
But it's just a bend in the road,
And not a reason to fret.

A bend in the road doesn't mean much,
It doesn't mean that we have failed;
It can often slow us down,
But it doesn't mean our dreams have sailed.

A bend in the road can be a blessing,
If we will take time to pray and think;
Maybe God is giving us a warning,
So our dreams will not sink.

There is one thing in life that is definite,
There will always be something to change;
A bend in the road signifies that,
So don't think it's totally strange.

God gives us these bends in the road,
To challenge us and help us grow;
So face them with a smile and confidence,
Because God will help you, you know.
