Take a Look

These are just a few pictures of myself that I thought you might enjoy. Laugh all you want, because I know how funny I look!

You know, for some reason, I just can't seem to remember this moment in life. And I thought I actually received a diploma at my graduation! I just have to make sure SLU doesn't find out I got a dog on a bun instead!

Let me try to explain this one... A couple friends and I could not think of something enjoyable to do one evening. (That's a very common occurence, by the way!) At the time, our back porch was gone because we were getting ready to build a new one. We had to have some way to get to the back door of our house, which was several feet off the ground, so my parents put a ramp up. Someone said something about wishing we could sled, but there was no snow. Well, the rest is history. We put our creative minds together and came up with this fun event. If I were you, I'd be looking for it in the next olympic games! As for the overly excited look on my face... Well that's all part of something we affectionately call the "Calculus High-Five." It's very simple. Just get a similar look on your face. Exaggerate the motion of your hand as you swing towards the other person's, and afterwards, make sure your face conveys the immense pain you are in from hitting each other at such blazing speeds (unless, of course, you miss completely)!

Ok, so maybe this one isn't as fun as the others, but it is still a memorable time. This picture was taken on a silent retreat I was a part of in January 2001. I never thought I'd be able to eat meals at a table with two or three others and not even acknowledge their presence, but I did it! It was a really awesome five days. If nothing else, it was nice to get away and have some peace and quiet.

This is me and Charlie (the piano in my high school's auditorium). The picture was taken at a lunch for the teachers. I was enlisted to dress up and play some nice background stuff. Piano's always been a love of mine. It's nice to be able to sit down on a hectic day and relax with some music for a while.

All about me!
