"Pocketful of Napalm '99"

"the official name for this tour, dedicated to Windy(story below), was "Pocketful of Napalm '99"

"first night we played a sushi bar characterized by this now infamous incident: during our last song(Free James) a drunk guy jumped on stage, grabbed the mic, and being verbally abusing our band members. We cut off the mic, and to show his dismay he promptly yanked down his pants and proceeded to rub his ass with the microphone. wOw."

"the second night was a bit more mellow, known for the Monster Pete Improvisational Jazz Obstacle Course."

"the third night was our first out-of-state gig, known for Cat, the lead singer of Mighty 690, thanking Scary Pete and his minions, and then Dirty Pete and his Nasty Men, the opening act."

The tour was in the name of Windy, the bird which flew through Tom Bowmer's open driver side window and met its doom in the form of Tom's passenger side (closed) window. The formerly-migrating swallow lay motionless in the passenger seat while the members of MP went berserker around the scene of the homicide. Braving the cold hand of death and the oncoming stench, an unnamed member of The Neptunes courageously lifted the no-longer-flying creature from the seat of the Oldsmobile and deposited him in his final resting place. The death occurred last saturday as we caravanned around Foothill college in search of Spring Reverb. Shortly after the burial, a flock of the deceased's winged brethren encircled the grave, a fitting end to Windy's harrowing journey toward the land o' milk, honey, and perfect nest-making twigs. Tom's window is okay, too.
