Wiers, Vivian L. Reedsburg/Wonewoc-Vivian L. Wiers, age 64, of rual Reedsburg, passed away on Friday, October 7, 1988 at the Reedsburg Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; three daughters, Gloria (David) Conrad of Cottage Grove, Susan (James) Stellmach of Appleton, and Linda (Jim) Wojicowski of Madison; seven sons, Maynard Mortimer of Madison, Wayne (Linda) Osborn of Reedsburg, Gary Osborn, Kent Osborn and Robert Osborn, all of Madison, Scott (Sherry) Osborn of Cottage Grove, and Larry (Ginger) Osborn of Anchorage Alaska; 20 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, Maurice (Lee) Mortimer of Milton, Donald (Jackie) Mortimer of Rio, and James (Patricia) Mortimer of Reedsburg; four sisters, LaVerna (LeRoy) Hanko of Cazenovia, LaVera Stittleburg of Wonewoc, Marcella (Roy) Scrivens of Madison, and Helen Mortimer of Reedsburg; and a sister-in-law, Annbelle Mortimer of Wonewoc. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 1988, at the Valton Wesleyan Church with Reverend Thomas Moe and Reverend Richard Lee co-officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 until 9:00p.m. on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home, Wonewoc, and after noon on Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Vivian L. Wiers, 64, rural Reedsburg, passed away on Friday, October 7, 1988 at the Reedsburg Memoral hospital. She was the daughter of Glen and Millie (Shore) Mortimer and was born January 5, 1924 in the Township of Woodland, Sauk County. She was united in marriage to Raymond E. Wiers on December 27, 1969 at Madison. She lived most of her life in the Reedsburg area. She was employed as a nurse's aid at the tri County Human Services Center Health Care Center. Vivian led the choir at the Ironton Methodist church of the Valton Wesleyan church. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; seven sons, Maynard Mortimer, Madison, Wayne (Linda) Osborn, Reedsburg, Gary, Kent and Robert Osborn all of Madison, Shott (Sherry) Osborn of Cottage Grove, Larry (Ginger) Osborn of Anchorage, AK; three daughters, Gloria (David) Conrad, Cottage Grove, Susan (James) Stellmach, Appleton, Linda (Jim) Wojicowski, Madison; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Maurice (Lee) Mortimer, Milton, Donald (Jackie) Mortimer, Rio, James (Patricia) Mortimer, Reedsburg; four sisters, LaVerna (LeRoy) Hanko, Cazenovia, LaVera Stittleburg, Wonewoc, Marcella (Roy) Scrivens, Madison, Helen Mortimer of Reedsburg and a sister-in-law, Annbelle Mortimer, Wonewoc. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerome and Glen Jr. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11 at 1 p.m. in the Valton Wesleyan church with Rev. Thomas Moe and Rev. Richard Lee co-officiating. Gale and Clarice Jackson sang, accompanied by Delores Nash. Private graveside interment services will be held at the Valton cemetery at a later date. Casketbearers were Arnold Blakeslee, Paul Frank, Delbert Winn, David Mortimer, Tony Osborn and Paul Stellmach.
