The win put the Mocs, who were playing their third game in three nights, back into tirst place in the division and kept them perfect at home with a 3-0 record in the Civic Center. Monroe is 4-1-0 overall.
"It was just a matter of who wanted it more," Anneck said. "Both teams were playing their third game in three nights and it was just whichever team was mentally stronger."
The Mocs' power play came alive in the third period as Anneck and defenseman Russ Parent collected power-play goals a little more than three minutes apart.
"The (Lucas) Miller-line played good," Mocs coach Brian "Colonel" Curran said. "They cycled the puck, had a lot of jumping and outmuscled the other line."
Anneck's first goal tied the game at 2-2 as he sent a Miller pass top shelf past Arkansas goalie Christian Soucy.
Anneck and Miller each assisted on Parent's goal, which put Monroe ahead 3-2, before Brad Domonsky's second goal of the night tied the score 3-3 at the 14:14 mark of the third period.
Then Miller, who had three assists, fed Anneck and he put the puck in the net for the game's final goal.
"They had tied it up, but Colonel just told us to settle down and keep doing the things we were doing," Anneck said. "we went out on a rush and (Bill) McKay made a pass to me and all I had to do was put it in."
"It was a good game," GlacierCats coach Jim Burton said. "But it seems like they had the man advantage half the game and when that happens we're gonna be behind the eight ball."
The Mocs came out with abandon in the second period, and Sean Freeman cut the 2-0 deficit in half with his third goal in three nights.
Freeman took a pass from C.J Yoder, the brother of defenseman Jamie Yoder who was signed earlier on Saturday, and hooked a goal past Soucy.
"The job of my line is to do the dirty work," Freeman said. "We shut them down and when we get our chances we have to bury them."
Freeman's goal came less than three minutes into the period and from there both goalies stoned the other team. The Mocs' Clint Owen made 10 saves while Soucy stopped 11 chances the rest of the period.
