Once again, Lou Gianfriddo here with the lastest news from the WWF. A huge Sunday Night Heat was held last night in Pittsburgh, including 2 championship matches.

A four man tournament was held for the vacant Intercontinental Title and the participants were Dude Love, Edge, Jeff Jarrett and Val Venis; each having come off at least 2 consecutive big wins. Edge proved to be just too intense and won the title by defeating previously unbeaten Jeff Jarrett. Earlier in the night, Edge had disposed of Val Venis. This mysterious wrestler appears to be for real and is still undefeated at 4-0 in the WWF.

The other big match of the night was Hardcore Champion Dan Severn vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin was all over Severn and finished him off with The Stonecold Stunner to win the WWF Hardcore Championship. After the match, Austin announced to the crowd that this was just his first step toward winning the "only belt that counts", the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.

In an earlier match, an intersting development occured involving the mysterious relationship between The Undertaker and "The Big Red Machine" Kane. It's not so mysterious anymore. After The Undertaker pinned Big Boss Man, member of The Corporation and personal bodyguard to Mr. McMahon, Kane ran to the ring and caught The Undertaker by surprise, knocking him unconcious with his lethal Tombstone move. It sure looks like Kane is under the influence of Mr. McMahon's Corporation. Later in the evening, just prior to the final match of the evening, The Undertaker walked to ringside, climbed up into the ring with a microphone, and challenge Kane to a match at the upcoming pay-per-view event, "In Your House: The Day of Reckoning. A few minutes later, from the locker room area, Mr. McMahon spoke, with Kane at his side, and said, "Undertaker! You want a match with Kane at In Your House? You got it, you S.O.B! But let me tell you this! This will not be any regular match! This will be a Buried Alive match! And when Kane here is finished with you, that will be the last time I have to look at your big ugly face!" Wow! That's bound to be one great match!

Until next time....

Hello everyone. Lou Gianfriddo here with all the latest WWF news. Let's get right to it.

Wrestling fans in Chesterfield, New York and television viewers all around the world were treated to a very exciting RAW is WAR tonight. There were several matches which had major implications on the WWF Championship situation. First, let's look at the tag team action. It looks like Legion of Doom 2000 and J.O.B. Squad will square off against each other at WWF's first pay-per-view event, In Your House: The Day of Reckoning. Both teams came away with very convincing victories tonight. Legion of Doom 2000 just overpower their opponents, while J.O.B. Squad relies on technical superiority. This should make for a very interesting match indeed.

And then there were two. Yes, we now know who will square off for the WWF World Heavyweight Title at In Your House: The Day of Reckoning. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia will face "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in a no DQ, no countout match. Yes, a champion will definately be crowned that night.

EXTRA: There is still alot of confusion as to the status of the relationship between The Undertaker and his brother from the darkside Kane. During Kane's match with Hunter Hearst Helmsley, The Undertaker made an appearance at rinside, but he neither interfered against or showed any signs of supporting Kane. He merely watched the match to it's conclusion and then walked away. To add to the speculation, Kane has been spotted on several occasions in the company of Mr. Mcmahon, and we know how The Undertaker feels about Mr. McMahon and his "Corporation". Is Kane joining "The Corporation" along with heavweight championship finalist Rocky Maivia? If so, it would be a real coup for Mr. McMahon. Stay Tuned!

Hello wrestling fans. Once again, Lou Gianfriddo here with the lastest news from The World Wrestling Federation. Sunday Night Heat was held last night, and it was a huge success. Two champions were crowned. Here's what went down:

Two tag teams, Legion of Doom 2000 and J.O.B. Squad, came away with victories, putting themselves in position for a possible shot at the World Tag Team Titles. Animal and Hawk of Legion of Doom 2000 looked especially strong.

Coming off his disappointing loss to Ken Shamrock, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was determined to take out his frustrations on "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. The match did not turn out as Austin had hoped, however, as most of this match was fought outside of the ring and concluded in a double countout. In a fit of rage, after referee Tim White had signaled for the double countout, Austin excecuted his Stone Cold Stunner on the hapless referee.

In what turned out to be the most thrilling match of the night, Taka Michinoku won a four corners match against X-Pac, Christian and Brian Christopher to take the WWF World Lightweight Title. The diminutive Michinoku looks like he's capable of dominating this weight class for quite some time.

The night concluded with a falls-count-anywhere match for the vacant Hardcore Title between Gangrel of The Brood and "The Beast" Dan Severn. The outcome was anti-climatic, however, and fans boo'd when the match was stopped after just over one minute when Gangrel submitted to Severn's perfectly executed grapevine.

Here's some exclusive information brought to my attention by a reliable source who witnessed an altercation between Mr. McMahon and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the locker room area after last night's show. Michaels was heard to be shouting at Mr. McMahon, "Vince, I don't want anything to do with you and your Corporation bunch! And don't worry, I'm done with DX too. From now on, I'm on my own!"

That's it for now. See you next time!

Hello everyone. Lou Gianfriddo here with the latest news from The World Wrestling Federation

A very exciting RAW IS WAR was held tonight at the MCI Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Tonight's event included the very much anticipated four elimination matches for the WWF World Heavyweight Title. There were also some very good preliminary matches...including some very exciting tag team action. BUT, let's get right to the BIG news:

As you recall, last week, WWF President Vince McMahon announced that there would be an eight man single elimination tournament held, with the winner to be crowned the WWF World Heavyweight Champion, the greatest title in professional wrestling. McMahon pulled no stops in the selection process, including the cream of the crop in the WWF. The eight selected were Rocky Maivia, Kane, Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Mankind, Shawn Michaels, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Undertaker. After some extremely intense action tonight, the number has been reduced to four; four of the greatest names in our sport...Maivia, Shamrock, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. The 2nd Round matches will be Rocky Maivia vs. Ken Shamrock and Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker. The winners of these two matches will face each other at the next WWF Pay-per-view event for the big prize.

Stay tuned. The best is yet to come!
