Hum, the crowd does seem to be pretty excited. I wonder if they would get more excited if I . . . .
"Hey guys, should we?" I asked Ike. He nodded, and so did Zac.
"Hey, I have an idea! Diamond Bay, why don't you come out and join us!" I asked them while we were setting up on stage, into the mic for the audience to hear. They were really surprised from the look on their faces. But they nodded and ran back on stage and over to their instruments. My keyboards were right next to Jessica's, Ike's guitar next to Lolo's and Bianca's drums next to Zac's so everything looked uniform. I knew the stage crew would do it. After all, when you ask, you shall receive, right! Then Jessica came and stood by me and her keyboards, and smiled.
"So, what are we gonna play? Are we supposed to sing too?" She asked me as she got her hands ready on the keys.
"Yup! You bet! Oh and next to your feet, taped to the floor is a sheet with the song list. So after each song, casually look down and see which song is next." I said as I motioned to Lolo and Binkies to look down at the list while Ike and Zac explained everything to them. Then when everyone was ready, I took the mic, " Okay, are you ready to rock?!" I said as Jessica and I started the first chord to "Where's The Love", she knew every single key perfectly, and with two keyboardist playing the same song at the same time, it normally would have sounded weird, but together, Jess and I sounded like one.
"Something's been going on and I don't know what it is. You don't mind the taking girl but you don't know how to give." We sang together as the lead. Then Ike, Lolo, Zac, and Bianca joined in. All of us together, singing our hearts out, and 6 instruments and voices, sounding like one in the same ,and with the energy from the audience, made me feel like I was on top of the world!
*JESSICA*All of the words and keys were so familiar to me, but yet, they were different. There was just something about being on the same stage with your idols that just makes you feel this intense feeling, burning inside you that just makes you pour more soul and energy into what you're doing. I was giving everything I had for this performance, but now that I was here, all I wanted to do was stop and take it all in, and make an everlasting memory. I was so excited to be right here, next to Tay and doing the one thing I loved more than anything else in the world- music. So back my mind went, back to the moment. Now, instead of thinking up all these things, I just felt like singing and playing now. Having the time of my life.
*BIANCA*I was hardly trying at all, I knew exactly what I was doing, I knew when to hit what drum or cymbal, but I was still nervous. But when I glanced at Zac, he just seemed so care free, so I tried to imitate that, then I felt better, now I had the confidence I needed to finish the show. It was just so awesome to be here, in front of all these people who love our music, and doing what we loved to do. It's just something you can never forget.
*LOLO*This was fun, probably the most fun we had ever had at a gig. The crowds were roaring, we were all singing our hearts out, and standing right beside our new friends that were spreading so much love, energy, and inspiration through the music that we couldn't help but pick some of it up and generate our own "Musician Power"!
*IKE*Even gigs like these weren't new to us, but it seemed new. Maybe that was because we had never shared the stage before and had other people singing our songs at a concert with us before. It was definitely, weird. But it was a kind of weird that left a smile on your face.
*ZAC*I'm hungry, I wonder if we'll get an intermission so I can get some candy!
