The Democrats like to say that we invaded Iraq for oil.. After a little research, they discovered that both Bush and Cheney have ties to oil companies, and also that Iraq has a lot of oil.. When you put two and two together, it only makes sense that Bush and Cheney are really just money hungry CEOs that have disguised themselves as politicians and infiltrated the highest positions in American government all so that they can use the American military to steal oil and make themselves filthy rich.. I have never denied that oil was a factor in the war.. As far as I'm concerned, if this were a war based solely on oil, I would still support it, because America uses a lot of fucking oil, and all of ours is sitting underneath a barren Alaskan tundra.. The truth of the matter is that we've liberated millions of Iraqis from Saddam's cruel regime, and even though we haven't found the nuclear stockpiles that Clinton and the Democrat Party was warning us about in the late 90s doesn't mean that they don't exist.. I agree that America doesn't have the ability to forcibly remove any tyrannical dictator from power, but Iraq is as good a place as any to start.. Not only does Iraq have a shitload of oil, but they have a shitload of biological and chemical weapons.. America knows this because America sold it all to them.. I'm from the Show-Me state, so I don’t automatically jump on the bandwagon without first seeing evidence... but the last time I checked, Missouri is part of America, the twenty-fourth state to join the Union, in fact.. Missouri is not part of Iraq, and Saddam Hussein is not my leader.. So if three American Presidents say that Iraq possesses WMDs, then I'll support any President’s effort, Republican or Democrat, to keep the world safe.. The burden of proof is on Saddam Hussein.. So Saddam released this humongous declaration detailing the destruction of all of his weapons stockpiles, but there where certain items that weren't included in his report.. When we didn't immediately find WMDs after we invaded, Bush’s critics went apeshit.. The new classic line was “Bush lied,” as if the Democrats don’t know anything about lying.. I know that lying about sex isn't as big a deal as lying about a country possessing nuclear weapons in order to start a war, but purposely lying after placing your hand on the Holy Bible and promising not to lie, actually is a bigger deal than taking the best information you have available and explaining it to the American people in a way that supports your plan for going to war.. Let me simplify things for you… Bush is a used car salesman, and the Democrats have buyers remorse.. It's reckless for them to call him a liar, because they were given the same CarFax report that Bush had available.. There should be open discussion about the way that we take this country to war, but how can I have respect for the Democrat party when they’re blaming our President for their own shortcomings..? It was their job to prevent this war, and they gave Bush the power to take us there.. They have no one to blame but themselves..
