* In what is being called the biggest win in LU baseball history, the Blue Tigers stun the Division I Missouri Tigers 4-2. Senior Nathan Witt went the distance, giving up 7 hits and striking out 3. Noland Steuken continued his hot start with 2 home runs and driving in 3 of the Blue Tigers runs on the day. LU continues their season today when they travel to College of the Ozarks for a double-header.
* The Blue Tigers split another double header, this time w/ Truman State. In Game 1, Mike NeSmith went 6 strong innings to get the win, as the Blue Tigers rolled to a 17-7 victory. In Game 2, Andrew Strimas was tagged for 8-5 loss as Lincoln evened up there record at 2-2.
* Lincoln opened the 2000 season w/ a split vs. Southwest Baptist U. Returning All-American Shannon Snitker opened the season w/ a 7-6 victory. Nathan Witt and Noland Steuken both homered in the game. In Game 2, Steucken took the loss as the Blue Tigers fell to SBU 8-3.
