First I will begin with my family history. We were founded by a woman by the name of Ann Baker. She crossed a white female Persian with a male seal Birman. And later a female Birman was brought in to the breed. Now we are just bred Ragdoll to Ragdoll. Although Ann was the original breeder back in 1960 there is a legend as to how we really came about. It has been said that when the first ragdoll was bred she got hit by a car and afterwards whenever she was held she would go limp like a ragdoll...hence the name. Then when she had kittens all of her kittens would do the same thing.
Now I will tell you a little of what we look like...and about our winning personality. We come in four different colors. I am a Blue Mitted (Grey), and my sister is a Seal mitted (dark brown), then there is chocolate (light brown), and lilac (pale pink). We also come in three different patterns of color: pointed(dark face, ears, tail and feet), mitted(same as pointed except with white paws and white chin), and bicolor(colored face, tail, and back but the face has a white inverted V-shaped marking between the eyes). True Ragdolls always have blue eyes. We have medium to long non-matting fur that is very soft and silky. We can be fairly large(females:9-12lbs and males: 15-20lbs on average). I weigh 10 lbs. right now but am getting bigger everyday (I'm kinda lazy and I love to eat treats). We are very docile and sweet cats that love to be the center of attention. We have very soft meow that you can barely hear.
I am registered with TICA and the CFA but I am not able to show because mom had me fixed. But that's ok because showing is alot of hard work and you have to behave and I like to play and have lots of fun.
Well it's been fun telling you about myself. Please come by again sometime for some milk and kitty treats. (mmmmmmmm!!)
Oh and by the way if you haven't been there already go to BleuBunny's Homepage. That's my mom and she's the *cat's meow*...heheheheh
