In the glory days of the AGCSWF, Grant Ankrom was always one step away from being on top of the world. Despite being an excellent wrestler with a dependable team for times of trouble, "The Gentleman" never managed to capture the ultimate prize: the World Heavyweight championship. However, he remained an impact player within the Federation during the span of its existence, partially due to his own cunning and also thanks to his connections.

Grant feuded with Crash and the Renegades almost exclusively, and was well-known for inviting members of his clique to interfere in title contests. In a wickedly brutal ladder match that has only grown more legendary with time, "The Gentleman" and "Big R" Russell Davis attempted but ultimately failed to destroy the careers of Razor and Crash. Grant would, of course, eventually redeem himself and his own career by steamrolling his way to multiple title reigns and some of the finest matches the AGCSWF has ever seen.
