Fast Eddie entered the AGCSWF as part of the "CSOS Invasion," wherein a gang of superstars from a rival organization targeted Ruudboy and his fellow Renegades. Their attempts at recruitment fell flat, and the CSOS wrestlers were scattered and left to fend for themselves. Fast Eddie languished in mid-card territory for quite some time, until Grant Ankrom took pity and approached him with an offer to join The Favorites (soon to become The Gentlemen). Eddie changed his ring name to Fast Edward and, with some help from his new friends, began to pile up victories and championships. Ironically, Edward's association with The Gentlemen also prevented him from moving upward any further, as Grant was considered king and readily received the best title shots.
