Derek, the younger brother of wrestling superstar Grant Ankrom, made his unassuming debut shortly after the AGCSWF opened for business. Few people expected the youngster to go very far - generally, his strength and speed were considered disproportionate to that of his opponents. However, he would soon establish himself as a major thorn in the side of the Renegades, and of Crash in particular. Derek made it his goal to challenge Crash at every opportunity, and though he often wound up on his back in the middle of the ring, he did succeed in temporarily distracting the co-leader of the Renegades. With the help of his brother's clique, The Gentlemen, Derek ultimately succeeded in winning the Lightheavyweight championship as well as the Chump Change title.
