Official Results from AGCSWF Christmas Carnage: 12-24-1999

Reported by: Christian Crawford

The show opened with a double shot of the Renegades entering the arena on one camera view, and the Gentlemen making their way in on the other. Then, the camera switched to a view of the Hometown Boyz, Crash, Freeze, and Adam Taylor, in their locker room as Adam prepared for his upcoming AGCSWF World title match. Freeze told Adam, "Don't worry, you guys aren't going to leave this arena tonight without title belts around your waists...I'll see to that!" The cameras then panned into the arena itself as the lights went down for the first match.

Crash defeated Big R to retain his Intercontinental championship after interference from the Hometown Boyz. Big R seemingly never had a chance of winning the match, as Crash attacked him with a variety of foreign objects, including an Algebra book, a string of Christmas lights (which he wrapped around Big R's throat), and even a broken desktop, which opened a cut on Big R's forehead after being smashed into his face.

However, Big R kicked out of the pin attempt by Crash, then shocked the leader of the Hometown Boyz by picking him up into a powerbomb and dropping him onto the back of his head. This was apparently the Hometown Boyz' cue to make their entrance, as both Freeze and Adam made their way down to the ringside area. Freeze jumped into the ring and gave Big R a low blow from behind; this was followed by the Adam Tannor Takedown off the top rope by Adam. Crash was then able to get the pinfall over his opponent easily and retain the IC title.

Tina VanDiver defeated Derek Ankrom in a special challenge, no-DQ match, without receiving any outside help from members of the Scooby-Doo Club. As soon as the bell rang, Tina grabbed Derek, bounced him off the ropes, and took him down with a back body drop in the center of the ring. This was followed by a big legdrop and a swinging neckbreaker. The fans in attendance were stunned by Tina's athleticism as she finally pinned Derek after hitting him with her valet Justin's signature move, the Chuck Norris Kick to the side of the head.

As Tina celebrated the match, however, Freeze made a surprising appearance, marching down to the ring, taking a microphone, and demanding that Tina "get out of MY ring". Tina refused to move, and Freeze got tired of waiting and simply punched her in the mouth, then set her up and delivered the Ice Breaker from the top turnbuckle. As Freeze left the ring, she reminded Tina, "I'm the top female wrestler around here, and don't you forget it."

But Freeze had only gotten halfway to the backstage area when Razor jumped out from behind the curtains and smashed her in the head with a snow shovel. The fans responded with loud boos, but Razor paid them no mind as he hoisted Freeze onto his shoulders and directed a nearby cameraman to follow him. Tina, meanwhile, was being taken care of by officials and the Scooby-Doo Club in the ring.

The cameraman continued to follow Razor as he carried an unconscious Freeze on his shoulders all the way out of the building and into the arena parking lot, which was covered with snow and ice. As Razor walked, he turned his head back toward the camera and said, "Look, before anyone gets upset, all I'm doing here is making sure that this broad won't interfere in any of the Renegades' matches this evening. And after all, her name is Freeze, right? I just sort of figured she'd be more comfortable here."

After saying this, Razor chose a big pile of snow, set Freeze down on the ground beside it, and proceeded to take his shovel and bury her in dirty snow and ice. "Man, it's cold out here. Should've worn my gloves," Razor remarked as he completed the dastardly deed and wiped off his hands.

Freeze was now covered in a pile of wet snow, and Razor didn't even blink an eyelash as he told the cameraman, "Thanks for sticking it out with me here, but I'm afraid you've outlived your usefulness," then shoved him backwards onto a patch of ice, causing him to slip, fall on his back and break the expensive camera. As Razor walked away, the AGCSWF World champion said one last thing: "Oh yeah, before I forget...Merry Christmas!"

Referees and officials rushed to the aid of Freeze as soon as Razor left, but it appeared that the champ had done exactly what he had set out to do: keep Freeze from interfering in any matches that evening. The last thing that any of the fans saw before the next match began was Freeze and the cameraman being tended to by paramedics outside as the sleet continued to pour.

Andrew McShane pinned Fast Edward to retain his AGCSWF Lightheavyweight title after Razor interfered. The two competitors battled back and forth for several minutes, until Edward hit Andrew with a superplex off the top rope, then dropped the champion face-first into the turnbuckle. Edward seemed to have the match all sewn up as he prepared to finish Andrew off with a running Ligerbomb, but just then Razor made his way down to the ring carrying his World title belt.

Edward let go of Andrew and started arguing with Razor, who had climbed up onto the ring apron. Suddenly, Razor smacked Edward right in the face with his title belt, causing a deep gash. As Edward stumbled backwards, holding his bloody forehead in pain, Andrew caught him with a reverse DDT from behind, then climbed the ropes and hit a flying moonsault for the win.

Afterwards, Razor entered the ring, took a microphone, and said, "If you so-called Gentlemen really think you have a chance at knocking the Renegades out of commission, you've got another think coming! Edward, why don't you do us all a favor and retire from the sport so we won't have to suffer through your matches anymore." With that, the World champion threw the mic down and left Edward lying in the ring.

Matt Roberts pinned Eric Delzell in record time to retain the AGCSWF Hardcore title after giving Eric a chokeslam in the center of the ring, then immediately pinning him for the victory. Afterwards, Matt set up a table in the ring and powerbombed Eric straight through it in an act of pure heartlessness.

"Action Jim" Jared Brison and Ryan "Ruudboy" Ford defeated Brandon "Brando" Cowles and "Mr. Jitterbug" to become the new AGCSWF Tag Team champions after interference from the unknown man who had been helping the Renegades during in the previous weeks. Both teams started out strong, but as the match wore on, it became clear that Brandon and Mr. Jitterbug were the superior team - Ruudboy and Jared simply didn't have the same level of cohesion. However, once Ruudboy ducked under an attempted standing side kick by Brandon, then hit him with the Ruuditude, things started to look up for the Renegades once again.

Mr. Jitterbug interrupted the referee's count at two, and before long the match had turned into a four-man brawl. Brandon ascended the ropes and nailed Ruudboy with the Brando Blockbuster, but before he could try for a pinfall, the mysterious blond stranger came running down to the ring and smashed Brandon in the face with a metal lunch tray. This allowed Action Jim to roll Brandon up from behind for a quick pinfall and the victory to give his team the Tag Team straps.

Chad "Chaddly" Ehrmann pinned Nathan "Sonic" Bonner to win the European title after showing a side of himself that few had expected. Nathan caught Chad with a big boot as soon as the match began, but didn't have the advantage for long, as Chad took out his knee from behind and put the injured leg into a figure-four leglock. Nathan somehow managed to reach the ropes, meaning that Chad was forced to release the hold, but the challenger didn't miss a beat as he grabbed a steel chair and bashed Nathan right on the kneecap with it.

Chad then held Nathan's knee out, came diving in from the side, and drove his own knee right into Nathan's, resulting in a sickening crack that could be heard all throughout the arena. Nathan was obviously in tremendous pain as he held his apparently broken knee, but Chad showed no remorse for what he had done. Instead, he set up that same steel chair in the middle of the ring, pulled Nathan to his feet, and hit the champion with a bulldog from behind, driving him face-first into the chair. This made it easy for Chad to roll Nathan over and pin him to win the championship.

Ryan Estes scored an upset victory over "Triple-D" Dustin Day to become the new AGCSWF United States champion, after interference from both the Alliance of Innovators and the Renegades. Triple-D started the match out very strong, catching Ryan with a clothesline off the ropes and following up with a chokeslam, but Ryan kicked out of the pinfall attempt at two. The challenger recovered, hit Triple-D with a back elbow in the corner, and caught him in a hurracanara for another two-count.

At this point, either man could have gotten the victory, but then the AGCSWF TV champion, Clay Ferngusen, came running down to the ring and smashed Triple-D in the head with his title belt. However, Triple-D's fellow Renegade "Action Jim"came to his rescue, throwing Clay over the ropes and hitting Ryan with the Cartoon Eye Punch.

It looked as though Triple-D would be the winner, but once again, someone chose to get involved, and this time it was Chad Ehrmann, who calmly made his way to the ring, entered and caught Triple-D with a flying elbowdrop. This set the titlist up for a top-rope reverse DDT from Ryan, who then scored the pinfall to become the new champ.

Now it was time for the AGCSWF World Heavyweight title match which pitted the champion, Razor, against Adam Taylor. Razor came to the ring first accompanied by all four of the Renegades, grabbed a microphone, and said, "Hey, Adam, you stupid jobber...if you ever call me 'bubba' again, I'm going to end your career! Not like I need to, though...lately, you've been losing more matches than Derek Ankrom! Now get your ugly carcass out here so I can beat it into the mat, punk."

It didn't take Adam long to make his way down and enter the ring, along with Crash and a banged-up and bruised Freeze, where Razor beset upon him as soon as the bell rang. The World champ was intent on keeping his title as he bounced Adam off the ropes and hit a spinning heel kick, followed by a driver for an unexpected two-count. Overwhelmed, Adam rolled outside the ring to clear his head, but within seconds was flattened by Razor as he came flying over the ropes with a suicide dive.

Back in the ring, Razor took a metal lunch tray, smashed Adam in the head with it, then shocked everyone by dragging Adam over to one of the turnbuckles, placing the lunch tray onto his stomach and chest, then climbing to the top rope and landing a flying somersault splash onto his opponent, metal tray and all. Razor was then unable to go for the pinall, as he had apparently injured his back; but he didn't have to worry about Adam recovering, for the challenger was lying helpless on his side, coughing up blood.

At this point in the match, no one was certain who would win, as both participants were down, but then Crash pulled the ultimate act of betrayal and attacked an unknowing Freeze from behind. She had been standing outside the ring watching the match with concern, but all that was interrupted when Crash hit her in the back of the head with his billy club. This was followed by a three-man attack from Crash, Triple-D, and Action Jim as Ruudboy entered the ring and helped Razor out by smashing Adam Taylor in the head with his Tag Team title belt.

Razor pulled Adam up to his feet, hit a driver onto the metal lunch tray, and got the pinfall to once again retain his AGCSWF World championship. Crash, who had evidently been a loyal member of the Renegades all along, dragged Adam out of the ring, then commenced to beating and stomping on him unmercifully.

With both members of the Hometown Boyz lying helpless, Crash took a microphone and gloated, "You idiots should have known I would never turn my back on the Renegades to join up with these losers! The Renegades ruled this night, just like we've ruled every other night since we first came together, and no one will ever stop us!"

The show closed with a shot of all five members of the Renegades reunited in the ring, as the hapless Hometown Boyz had apparently fallen into their trap. The fans in attendance booed themselves hoarse, but the defiant World champ Razor didn't care as he climbed the ropes and held his title belt skyward, despite having obviously suffered an injured back which might turn out to play into his next championship match.
