Bryce Aaron Curtis was the quintessential "lone wolf," save for his valet Candie Hansen and his association with Freeze. He flatly refused to join any and all wrestling cliques, declining every invitation even if it meant the possibility of bodily harm. He excelled in "hardcore" and cage matches, and his feuds with Razor and Crash were legendary in their brutality. At one point, Bryce suffered a severe injury at the hands of Razor and found himself on the sidelines for a month.

When he returned, he appeared leaner and meaner than before, and quickly established himself as a major contender for the Triple Threat and European championships. Bryce's longtime affiliation with Freeze was a bone of contention for Renegades member Crash; as a result, Bryce suffered backstage attacks and interference in his title matches. Nevertheless, he continued to shine as a repeated Hardcore champion, and eventually settled his score with the Renegades as well.
