Every AGCSWF championship would be on the line for the very first time in several exciting bouts which featured a collection of the greatest wrestling talent ever assembled at a Christian school. It would be the debut match for everyone participating in the show, and careers could quite possibly be made or broken at this highly-anticipated event. The combatants had been chosen on the merits of their display of in-ring skills and charisma while training in the months prior to the show, and now they were about to finally put their knowledge of the sport to good use. However, the wrestlers would have to take care to stay alert and focused during their matches, because all AGCSWF bouts are contested under no-disqualification, no-countout rules, which means that a competitor can benefit from the use of weaponry or outside interference without having to distract the referee or worry about being caught and DQ'ed. On the other hand, most AGCSWF competitors are instilled with a sense of fair play, and any wrestler who frequently gains victories as a result of utilizing "illegal" measures is not looked upon very favorably, and may be temporarily "held back" and placed in lower-card matches as a result. As the lights were slowly dimmed, the fans rose to their feet in anticipation of the first match, and the dull roar which had enveloped the arena began to increase in volume. Suddenly, the signature AGCSWF theme music came blasting through the speakers, and loud fireworks were set off as the event had now officially started. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The opening bout was a fatal four-way elimination match between Andrew McShane, Jared Rupp, Chad Ehrmann, and "Action" Tim Brison, with the winner becoming the new AGCSWF Lightheavyweight champion. Each competitor made his way to the ring, and as soon as the referee signaled for the bell, the match exploded into an uncontrollable brawl. Andrew immediately targeted "Action" Tim, kicking his adversary in the gut, then clotheslining him over the ropes and shocking the crowd by landing an Asai moonsault out of the ring. Meanwhile, Chad overpowered Jared with a running forearm off the ropes, followed by a knee to the chest as Jared lay on the mat. Chad then pulled Jared up to his feet and delivered a crunching piledriver, tying him up for a pinfall attempt; but somehow, Jared was able to kick out at two. At this point, Andrew reentered the squared circle and locked up with Chad, surprising his larger and stronger opponent with a hurricanrana. "Action" Tim staggered to his feet, returned to the ring, and climbed up to the top rope, waiting for an opportunity to unleash a high-risk maneuver of his own. He got his opportunity a few seconds later, when Andrew punched Chad in the face, then shoved him backward directly into the path of a missile dropkick to the skull from Tim. As Chad tried to recover from the dropkick, Andrew grabbed ahold of a distracted Tim Brison and scored the first pin of the match by delivering his signature move, a standing tornado DDT. Moments later, Jared Rupp suffered the same fate as he stumbled right into Andrew's waiting arms. By this time, Chad had pulled himself back together and had also produced a pair of brass knuckles from within his clothing. Andrew, who was now apparently full of confidence that he could win the match without any more trouble, turned around and did a double take at the sight of Chad standing tall. Andrew reached forward and tried to slap the taste out of Chad's mouth, but missed, receiving a pair of brass knuckles to the head for his trouble. Andrew ended up flat on his back, and Chad moved in for the cover and the three-count to win the Lightheavyweight title. Afterwards, Chad celebrated his victory with his two best friends, Ryan Estes and Clay Fergusen, both of whom would also be making their wrestling debuts later that evening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next up was a one-on-one "hardcore style" contest between the talented Adam Taylor and the towering Matt Roberts, with the AGCSWF Hardcore title on the line. Adam brought a wheelbarrow full of various weapons with him, and as his entrance music played, he pulled out a folding chair, a length of metal pipe, and a baseball bat, throwing them all over the ropes and into the ring for later use. However, Matt brought only a single wooden table with him, which he set up in the center of the squared circle, glaring at his fellow challenger the entire time. Adam rolled into the ring, grabbed his folding chair, and held it cautiously in front of him as the bell sounded. But as soon as Adam made a move towards his opponent, Matt nailed him with a big boot, driving the chair into Adam's face and opening up a large gash. Matt then picked up the chair himself and smashed Adam over the head with it, knocking him down a second time. Adam attempted to ward off his adversary's attacks, hitting him with a low blow and kicking him in the stomach, but Matt simply shook the effects off and punched Adam in the mouth. The fans in attendance were amazed at how easily Matt appeared to be dominating this contest as he threw Adam into the corner and prepared to hit a running clothesline. In desperation, Adam moved out of the way, then grabbed the length of pipe and struck Matt across the chest with it, sending him backwards into the turnbuckle. Furious, Matt took the pipe from Adam and promptly whacked him across the chest as well. Matt then signaled for his signature finishing move, lifting Adam high into the air and chokeslamming him through the table which he had set up earlier. At this point, the three-count was elementary, and Matt Roberts was crowned the first ever AGCSWF Hardcore champion. There was no celebration from the champ, though; instead, he simply grabbed his title belt and left the arena without a word. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Haere Brothers, E. Haere and N. Haere, walked down to the ring in preparation for their match, where the two would be facing off against the tag team of "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison. The winners of this contest would become the new AGCSWF Tag Team champions, but it seemed as though there was no question as to which team would score the victory, because the Haere Brothers were at a severe size and power disadvantage against their opponents. Regardless, N. Haere started out the match against Dustin and soon learned that he was out of his league, as "Triple-D" mopped the floor with him for the first several minutes by utilizing various clotheslines and power moves. Struggling to right himself, N. Haere tagged his brother into the fracas, but Dustin was just beginning to pick up steam, as he grabbed E. Haere and press-slammed him over the ropes. Dustin then tagged Jared, and the older brother of "Action" Tim Brison went to work on N. Haere, who wasn't even the legal man at that point. In the meantime, "Triple-D" abused E. Haere by throwing him shoulder-first into the steel ring steps, then busting his head open with a ringside TV monitor. Jared had a bit of trouble with N. Haere at first, but eventually took over with a modified powerslam and a superplex from the top rope. Now Dustin rolled E. Haere back into the squared circle, and he and Action Jim delivered a devastating double-chokeslam. This allowed "Triple-D" to get the pinfall and award himself and his partner the Tag Team straps. After the match, the new champions left the Haere Brothers lying helpless in the ring and retreated to the backstage area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next contest was a six-pack challenge for the AGCSWF Television title, involving Ryan Estes, "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts, Fast Eddie, Ruudboy, Dane Gammon, and Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac. Unlike the earlier fatal four-way contest, only one man had to log a three-count to be named the new TV champion in this situation. The match degenerated into a brawl within seconds of the bell being rung, but every time a wrestler had one of his opponents lined up for a pinfall, another man would break it up so that the match would not end. All six combatants wanted to leave the arena with the TV belt in their possession, and they fought as if their careers were on the line. A few moments into the match, Ryan Estes took out Tyler Knotts with a rising knee off the ropes followed by a reverse Russian legsweep. At the same time, Chad Martinac stunned Fast Eddie with a release German suplex, then immediately rolled him up, but only got a two-count. Ryan and Chad then faced off in the center of the ring, and Ruudboy interrupted by catching Chad with a bulldog from behind. Ruudboy then knocked Ryan senseless as well by hitting his trademark finisher, the Ruuditude. Suddenly, the Lightheavyweight champion Chad Ehrmann showed up at ringside, climbing up on the ring apron and taunting Ruudboy. Chad ducked down just in time to avoid a clothesline, then reached up and smashed Ruudboy in the head with his pair of brass knuckles. Ruudboy fell back into the ring, clutching his bleeding forehead, and was soon taken out of the match for good when Tyler Knotts splashed him off the ropes. Dane Gammon broke up the pin attempt as Chad left the ringside area, but Tyler responded by hitting a belly-to-belly suplex on his adversary. Once again, Tyler was prevented from scoring the pinfall, as the recovering Ryan Estes dropped a big elbow onto his spine. Tyler escaped through the ropes and collapsed in pain outside the ring, where Chad and Dane had also taken up residence. This gave Ryan a chance to set Fast Eddie up and drop him throat-first across the ropes, then hit a Northern Lights suplex for the pin to become the first TV champion. An exhausted Ryan stepped over the bodies of his opponents and gave a high-five to Chad Ehrmann, who was waiting for him at the top of the entrance ramp. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The AGCSWF European title was about to be placed up for grabs for as Bryce Aaron Curtis made his way to the ring, accompanied by his valet, Candie Hansen. Bryce was quite a bit larger than his opponent, Brandon "Brando" Cowles, but Brandon didn't seem fazed at all by the fact that he was at a disadvantage. The two combatants started off strong, exchanging several wear-down holds, until Brandon bounced off the ropes and hit a running shoulderblock. This enraged Bryce, and he retaliated with a sudden string of power moves that left Brandon wondering where he was. Brandon left the ring in order to try and pull himself together again, but he was distracted by the presence of Candie Hansen, who appeared to be flirting with him as she helped him to his feet and smiled. When Brandon turned away from Candie, knowing that she was only out there to help Bryce win the European strap, she hit him with a low blow from behind, then slapped him across the face. This resulted in Bryce being given the upper hand, as he grabbed Brandon and pulled him back into the squared circle, only to decimate him with a gutbuster and a fallaway slam. It became apparent that there was no way for Brandon to win the match, as Bryce measured him and delivered a crushing legdrop, then scored the pinfall as Candie Hansen clapped her hands in approval. Bryce took the European belt from the referee and promptly exited the ring, holding his title in the air and using it to taunt both Brandon Cowles and the fans. Candie, who had been partially responsible for Bryce's victory, smirked at the sight of Brandon lying face-down in the ring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With only three matches left on the card, the next contest was perhaps one of the most important of all, as it was for the AGCSWF Triple Threat title. The winner of this particular belt would have the honor of holding an extremely prestigious championship, but he would also be forced to regularly put it on the line in matches where he could lose the title without even being pinned. The first competitor, known only as Razor, entered the squared circle and held up three fingers on each hand, signifying that he expected to win beyond a shadow of a doubt. The next two men, Peter Hartman and Clay Fergusen, didn't even make it to the ring, because Clay attacked Peter without provocation, resulting in a fight on the entrance ramp. The bell sounded to begin the contest, but Razor simply stood and watched as Clay and Peter tore into one another. Eventually, Peter managed to take his adversary down just long enough to enter the ring, where he was beset upon by Razor, who whipped him off the ropes and hit a spinning heel kick, then followed that up with a facebuster. Razor's subsequent pinfall attempt was thwarted by Clay, who clotheslined Razor over the ropes and went back to stomping on Peter. Clay set Peter up and hit a running Ligerbomb, then clamped on a chokehold and refused to let go. In the meantime, Razor procured a metal lunch tray and returned to the ring, tapping Clay on the shoulder and bending the tray over his head when he turned around. Once again, Razor tried to get a three-count, but this time it was Peter who prevented it from happening. Peter kicked Razor in the gut, then delivered a double-underhook suplex, topping that off by smashing his knee into the spine of his opponent. Clay, who had been struggling to right himself, picked up the metal lunch tray and surprised Peter by using it on him, then collapsed to the mat himself as well. When Clay looked up, Razor was back on his feet, and the two clashed in a struggle which ended when Razor turned Clay upside down and took the air out of him with a vertical suplex into a driver. Razor then ascended to the top rope and landed a shooting star press, pinning Clay to become the new AGCSWF Triple Threat champion. The referee handed Razor his title belt, and although the champ was obviously having trouble staying on his feet, he managed to climb through the ropes and out of the ring, leaving by way of the crowd to avoid retribution from one of his opponents' allies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grant Ankrom's entrance theme blasted through the speakers as he made his way to the squared circle accompanied by his younger brother, Derek. Grant was scheduled to face off against Crash for the AGCSWF Intercontinental title, which is only one step away from the World Heavyweight championship itself. As Crash came down to the ring, Grant picked up a nearby microphone and objected to the fact that Crash appeared to be carrying a billy club with him. But the referee couldn't do anything about it, so as soon as Crash stepped into the ring, he was attacked by not only Grant, but Derek as well. Grant delivered an uppercut to Crash, then wrenched the billy club from his hands and threw it out into the audience. The two Ankrom brothers then set about systematically destroying Crash, double-teaming him and not even allowing him to stand up again. However, Crash somehow found the strength to deliver low blows to both Grant and Derek, which gave him valuable time to try and find a weapon so he could fight back. Crash searched outside the ring for a moment, picked up a baseball bat, and shoved it into the gut of Derek Ankrom. But Grant was already on top of things, as he grabbed the bat and smashed it into Crash's shoulder, doing the same to his knee. Grant continued to repeatedly use the baseball bat on his opponent until finally the referee stepped in and took it from him. Meanwhile, Derek had rolled outside the ring and was temporarily incapacitated as a result of being hit in the stomach. Disgusted, Grant ordered Derek to get back in and help him, but while his attention was focused elsewhere, Crash was able to exit the squared circle a second time. Despite the fact that he was in tremendous pain, Crash reached underneath the ring and came up with a fire extinguisher, which he then emptied all over the faces of Grant and Derek. As Derek stumbled around the ring, wiping and clawing at his eyes, Crash stepped forward and clocked him over the head with the fire extinguisher, knocking him completely unconscious. At that moment, when it seemed as though Crash might actually have a chance of winning, Grant's friend Peter Hartman came running down to the ring with a broken desktop in his hands. When Crash turned to face him, Peter cracked the desktop over his adversary's forehead, knocking him out cold as well. This allowed Grant to move all of the debris out of the way and pin Crash to win the AGCSWF Intercontinental championship. Following the match, both of the Ankrom brothers along with Peter headed backstage to celebrate Grant's title victory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it was time for the final and most significant match of the evening, the battle royal for the vacant AGCSWF World Heavyweight championship. The winner of this match would become the most respected and heralded athlete in the entire AGCSWF, and would have to fend off potential challengers and watch his back almost constantly. The rules were simple: one man would enter every 60 seconds until everyone involved had gotten a chance to compete. Only 15 competitors were entered in the battle royal to begin with; however, before the match even got started, there were some slight roster changes which had to be made. First of all, Crash was ruled unable to compete by backstage doctors, so Justin Penkert (along with his valet, Tina Vandiver), who had not originally been scheduled to compete at the event, took his place. Also, Matt Roberts, the new Hardcore champion, was also expected to be in the battle royal, but he had left the arena without an explanation following his earlier match. Therefore, "Big R" Russell Davis was ordered to take his spot, making this his debut contest as well. Here is a list of the competitors and the order in which they entered, which was chosen by a totally random process to ensure fairness: 1. Ryan Estes 2. Johnny Lively 3. Peter Hartman 4. "Big R" Russell Davis 5. "Triple-D" Dustin Day 6. Dane Gammon 7. Razor 8. Brandon "Brando" Cowles 9. Adam Taylor 10. Grant Ankrom 11. Jared "Action Jim" Brison 12. Nicholaas Leembruggen 13. Bryce Aaron Curtis (w/Candie Hansen) 14. Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac 15. Justin Penkert (w/Tina Vandiver) And, here is a list of the competitors in the order in which they were eliminated: 1. Johnny Lively (eliminated by Peter Hartman) 2. Peter Hartman (eliminated by "Triple-D" Dustin Day) 3. Ryan Estes (eliminated by "Triple-D" Dustin Day) 4. Dane Gammon (eliminated by "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Razor) 5. "Big R" Russell Davis (eliminated by Brandon "Brando" Cowles and Razor) 6. Brandon "Brando" Cowles (eliminated by "Triple-D" Dustin Day) 7. "Triple-D" Dustin Day (eliminated by Adam Taylor and Grant Ankrom) 8. Grant Ankrom (eliminated by Adam Taylor and Jared "Action Jim" Brison) 9. Razor (eliminated by Bryce Aaron Curtis) 10. Jared "Action Jim" Brison (eliminated by Bryce Aaron Curtis) 11. Bryce Aaron Curtis (eliminated by Nicholaas Leembruggen) 12. Justin Penkert (eliminated by Nicholaas Leembruggen) 13. Nicholaas Leembruggen (eliminated by Adam Taylor and Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac) 14. Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac (eliminated by Adam Taylor) The Winner and New AGCSWF World Heavyweight Champion: Adam Taylor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the first AGCSWF show came to a close, the new World champion, Adam Taylor, stood in the middle of the ring and hoisted his title belt high in the air after having battled through a long and grueling match. Other competitors who had not been so fortunate attempted to regain their composure outside the ring, and some of them even celebrated along with Adam, although he was careful not to let anyone get too close should they try and attack him. The fans gave Adam a standing ovation for his effort and the fact that he had come back from losing his earlier Hardcore title match to win the World title instead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of August 7, 2000: World Heavyweight: Adam Taylor Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Bryce Aaron Curtis Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison Television: Ryan Estes Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Results From the 8/14/2000 AGCSWF Live Event-- The second AGCSWF show was about to begin, as the cameras showed various wrestlers arriving at the arena and making their way inside. At this event, titles would be defended and scores would be settled, all resulting from the various matches which had taken place at the first AGCSWF show only seven days earlier. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The opening bout featured a grudge match between Crash and Derek Ankrom, who had helped his older brother Grant to defeat Crash for the AGCSWF Intercontinental title on the previous Monday. Both combatants came to the ring alone, and before the bell could sound, Crash whipped out his billy club and proceeded to smash Derek over the head with it. He then targeted Derek's knee with the weapon, repeatedly driving it into the leg of his smaller and weaker opponent until Derek was no longer able to stand up under his own power. Crash left the ring just long enough to grab a nearby folding chair, which he set up in the middle of the squared circle. He then picked Derek up, held him in the air, and dropped him face-first onto the chair, making it easy for him to score the pinfall. As Crash celebrated his victory, however, he didn't notice Grant Ankrom and Peter Hartman sneaking up on him from behind. Grant, who was holding a baseball bat, waited until Crash turned around and drove the bat deep into his gut. He then took Crash down for good by slamming the bat into his spine and delivering his trademark finisher, a modified Death Valley Driver. In the meantime, Peter had successfully revived Derek, and the two friends headed to the locker room area along with Grant shortly thereafter. Referees and officials rushed to ringside and called out EMTs, but Crash refused any medical treatment, preferring to limp backstage on his own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andrew McShane came to the ring in preparation for his match against fellow lightheavyweight superstar "Action" Tim Brison. The winner of this contest would go on to face Chad Ehrmann for the AGCSWF Lightheavyweight title at the next event. Andrew jumped right into the thick of things with a slingshot suplex and a small package on the younger brother of Jared "Action Jim" Brison, but was only able to get a two-count. Tim courageously fought back with a chop-block to Andrew's leg and a scoopslam, then bounced off the opposite ropes and attempted to hit a big elbow; however, Andrew rolled out of the way just in time, sending Tim crashing to the mat. Andrew immediately capitalized on his opportunity, weakening Tim by kicking him in the ribs, then lifting him up and throwing him between the ropes and outside the squared circle. As Tim pulled himself up to his feet, Andrew got a running start and tried to land a suicide splash, but Tim saw it coming and stepped aside. With Andrew lying prone right outside the ring, Tim deftly climbed to the top rope and amazed the fans by hitting his finisher, the diving headbutt. For the next several moments, neither man was in good enough shape to do much of anything, but eventually, a dazed Tim Brison rolled Andrew into the ring and went for a pinfall. To the surprise of many, Andrew kicked out just in time, and the match continued. Not long after that, Andrew had recovered to the point where he was able to overpower his adversary and maneuver him into position for his own finisher, the standing tornado DDT. The crowd let out a collective sigh of disappointment, as the majority of the fans had apparently been hoping that Tim, the underdog going into this match, would pull off an upset victory. But that was not to be, at least not at this particular event, because Andrew pinned his opponent's shoulders to the mat and logged the three-count to become the new number-one contender for Chad Ehrmann's championship. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the third match of the evening, Chris "Chrispytoast" Burros, Nicholaas Leembruggen, Eric Delzell, and Nathan Bonner all made their respective AGCSWF in-ring debuts in a fatal four-way elimination match. The fans in attendance were eager to see what these athletes brought to the table as Chrispytoast and Eric targeted Nick, trapping the big man in the corner and repeatedly stomping him until Nathan got involved, dropkicking Eric between the ropes and setting Chrispytoast up for a running forearm. But Chrispy managed to avoid his opponent, and when Nathan got up to his feet, he found himself on the receiving end of a belly-to-belly suplex. Eric returned to the ring and started an all-out brawl with Nick, while Chrispy drove his fists into Nathan's head, then splashed him off the ropes in an attempt to wear him down. Chrispy left Nathan lying flat on his back and went to help Eric, delivering a tandem suplex to Nick and following up on that with a knee to the big man's gut from both competitors. Out of nowhere, Eric reached across the body of Nick and poked Chrispy in the eyes, then grabbed ahold of him and prepared to hit another move; however, an enraged Chrispy retaliated by kicking his opponent in the groin and scoring a quick pinfall after a running powerslam. As Chrispy celebrated getting the first three-count of the match, Nathan came up from behind and punched him in the kidneys, then waited until Chrispy turned around and punched him even harder in the stomach. With his sizeable adversary doubled-over as a result of the unexpected attack, Nathan was able to hit his finisher, the axe-kick, and easily log the second pinfall. The fatal four-way had now been reduced to only two wrestlers, and Nathan, who was actually taller but not quite as wide as Nick Leembruggen, seemed undaunted by the size difference as he nailed his fellow superstar with a running forearm off the ropes. Nathan then went for the pin, but only got a two-count. Frustrated, he fired a few punches into Nick's jaw, then pulled him up to his feet and kicked him in the gut. However, Nick stumbled backwards out of the way when Nathan tried for a second axe-kick, leaving the wiry combatant to fall on his face. As Nathan got back up, Nick moved in for the kill, clotheslining him and then delivering a crunching shoulderbreaker; this was all that was needed to end the contest with Nicholaas coming out on top. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The AGCSWF Lightheavyweight champion, Chad Ehrmann, made his way to the ring with his title belt draped loosely across his shoulder. Seconds later, an unknown superstar named David Temple strutted down the entrance ramp in anticipation of his debut match. As soon as David entered the squared circle, the champion attacked him and refused to let up. Chad whipped David off the ropes and nailed him with a picture-perfect dropkick, following that up with a clothesline and a vertical suplex. The challenger was too overwhelmed to even begin to fight back, and this allowed Chad some extra time, as he stopped pounding on David just long enough to taunt the crowd. When Chad turned around, however, David surprised him by catching him with a spinebuster. But that wouldn't be enough to take Chad down for good, as he soon retaliated with a few well-placed kicks to David's midsection and a double-arm DDT. Out of nowhere, Chad reached inside his clothing and pulled out his now-infamous pair of brass knuckles, which he slipped on just long enough to knock David out cold. The Lightheavyweight champ then made the cover to successfully defend the title as well as remain undefeated in his second AGCSWF match. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next on the card was a match for the AGCSWF Triple Threat title, with the champion Razor (who wouldn't even have to be pinned to lose his championship) defending against Fast Eddie and Justin Penkert. Razor started out by locking up with Eddie in the ring, kicking his opponent in the stomach and hitting a facebuster. Justin then decided to get involved, grabbing the champ and driving him into the mat with a full-nelson slam. This was followed by a variety of martial arts kicks and chops that left Razor stunned and basically put him out on his feet. Suddenly, Fast Eddie rolled the champion up from behind, but Justin stopped the pinfall attempt before the title could change hands. Now Eddie and Justin got into a brawl that ended when Eddie clotheslined his larger adversary over the ropes, then stepped back slightly and hit a running suicide dive out of the ring. But as Eddie got back to his feet, he too was flattened by Razor, who climbed up to the top rope and landed a twisting moonsault splash. Razor then shocked ringside observers by jumping onto the ring apron and landing a mid-air hurricanrana on Justin. When the three competitors finally returned to the ring, they were all beginning to look a bit worn-out, but they continued fighting nonetheless, as Eddie and Justin took Razor out with a tandem back body-drop. At this point, Justin's valet, Tina Vandiver, reached into the ring and grabbed ahold of Eddie's foot from behind. Eddie turned his attention away from the task at hand to chastise Tina; but when he did, Justin readied himself and caught his opponent with a sharp roundhouse kick to the back of the head, causing him to fall forward between the ropes and land painfully outside the ring. It seemed as though Justin might end up becoming the next Triple Threat champion, but a surprise attack from Razor changed all that, as he bounced Justin off the ropes and nailed him with a spinning heel kick. This left Justin lying helpless on the mat, allowing Razor to climb up to the top rope once more and deliver a shooting star press to retain his belt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Matt Roberts' theme music blared throughout the arena as the AGCSWF Hardcore champion walked down the entrance ramp carrying only his title belt and a folding table. Upon reaching the squared circle, Matt set up the table, handed the referee his belt, and awaited the appearance of his scheduled opponent, Clay Fergusen. Seconds later, Clay burst through the curtains and sauntered to the ring with a smirk on his face; but his good mood would not last for very long, as Matt took hold of the challenger and clotheslined him with violent force, then nearly broke him in two with a backbreaker. All of this happened before the bell even sounded, and once it did sound, Matt bounced Clay off the ropes and nailed him with a steel-toed boot to the face. A disoriented Clay attempted to fight back, but Matt simply punched him in the mouth, then set him up and delivered a devastating powerbomb. Suddenly, Ryan Estes and Chad Erhmann showed up and tried to help their friend by distracting Matt, but the champion would have none of it. He grabbed Ryan around the neck, then did the same to Chad, and demonstrated his immense strength by hitting them with a double-chokeslam. With Clay's buddies out of the way, Matt was able to concentrate fully on the challenger himself, and he finished the match by hoisting Clay in the air and chokeslamming him through the table, then scoring the pinfall. After he was announced as the victor, Matt picked up a microphone and said, "Adam Taylor, you've just witnessed the pure destructive force that is Matt Roberts. You know, the reason I left the arena last Monday night after my Hardcore title match with you was because I was disgusted by your in-ring performance. I expected a lot more out of you than what I got, especially since we used to train together. I didn't even break a sweat in that match! And don't think that just because you came back later that night and won the World title that I was at all impressed with you. The fact is, if I had still been there, I would've won the belt myself, and everyone in this arena knows it." Matt stopped talking for just a moment to acknowledge the cheers of the fans, then raised his microphone and prepared to speak again; however, he was cut off by Adam Taylor's entrance music. Adam came out with a microphone of his own and said, "Matt, you little punk...you need to keep your big mouth shut, boy. You're lookin' at the first ever AGCSWF World Heavyweight champion, and don't you ever forget it. I think the real reason you left that arena last Monday night is 'cuz you were just plain scared! You may be the Hardcore champ, but even that pales in comparison to what I have. Now why don't you be quiet for awhile, because I've got a title defense coming up next and I don't need you out here messing it up. If you want a shot at this belt, you're gonna have to work for it, so I suggest you start racking up pinfalls and trying to make it onto the list of contenders. I'm outta here." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The AGCSWF World champion Adam Taylor's music blasted through the speakers as he made his way to the ring for the final match of the evening, in what would be his first singles contest in the Federation. The man against whom he was defending the belt was none other than Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac, a man Adam had eliminated in a battle royal one week earlier to become the champ. Chad was full of fire as he traded offensive moves with Adam to start out with, then got the upper hand with a cobra clutch suplex. But Adam was only beginning to warm up as he steadily dealt out punishment to the challenger for the next few moments, until Chad managed to once again reverse the flow of the match with a swinging neckbreaker. Adam fended off his opponent's attacks by hitting a low blow, then dropped Chad on his head with a spinebuster. Suddenly, Matt Roberts appeared in the entranceway along with his friend, Dane Gammon, who was carrying a folding table similar to the one Matt had used earlier. The Hardcore champion and his associate made their way to the ring but did not get involved in the match; rather, they simply set up the table right outside the squared circle and stood there, watching. Adam refused to allow his enemies to get to him, preparing to hit his finisher, the Adam Taylor Takedown; but it was obvious that the presence of Matt and Dane had indeed distracted the World champion, as Chad was able to prevent Adam from hitting the Takedown and instead tied him up in a Fisherman's suplex for a two-count. Chad then stood Adam up and prepared to clothesline him through the table which was outside the ring, but Adam saw it coming and grabbed Chad's legs, flipping him up and over the ropes. Amazingly, Chad missed plunging into the table by just a few inches, but as soon as he hit the ground, Matt picked him up and promptly chokeslammed him through the table anyway. The Hardcore champ then rolled Chad's body back into the ring, where Adam was able to easily pin him and retain his status as the World titleholder. The second AGCSWF show closed with a shot of Adam Taylor standing in the ring with his title belt in his hand and a bewildered look on his face as Matt Roberts and Dane Gammon retreated to the locker room area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of August 14, 2000: World Heavyweight: Adam Taylor Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Bryce Aaron Curtis Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison Television: Ryan Estes Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All contents are property of the AGCS Wrestling Federation copyright 1999-2009.
