"The Black Vamp" started as Crash's alter ego, but after awhile Crash abandoned the idenity. Apparently the Black Vamp was seen as a fair disguise for a newcomer named Dane, who was eventually revealed as the phony Black Vamp at the Do What's Right PPV. It was later revealed that Dane had been brought into the AGCSWF by his best friend, former World champion Matt Roberts, and the two proceeded to destroy almost everyone who got in their way. This allowed Mr. Gammon a moderate measure of in-ring success over the years.
