~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Results From the 11/6/2000 AGCSWF Live Event-- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 11/6/2000 AGCSWF show opened with a fatal four-way elimination match for the Tag Team titles, featuring Ruudboy and Johnny Lively defending their belts against "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts and Justin Penkert, the Haere Brothers, and the former champs themselves, "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison. Justin's valet, Tina Vandiver, accompanied him to ringside, perhaps in anticipation of getting involved and bringing her charges to victory. Only two men could be in the squared circle at any one time, so Johnny and E. Haere locked up to start things off. The Tag champ whipped his smaller opponent off the ropes, caught him with a running leg lariat, then waited until E. Haere had climbed up to his feet and immediately speared him to the mat. E. Haere rolled over and tagged Tyler into the ring, then disappeared to the outside. Tyler stepped over, scoopslammed Johnny, and dropped an elbow onto his chest for a two-count. He then hit a belly-to-belly suplex on his opponent and tried for a big splash off the ropes, but Johnny narrowly avoided the move, connected with a dropkick, and tagged in Ruudboy. As Tyler pulled himself to a standing position, Ruudboy caught him with a bulldog from behind; his subsequent pinfall attempt was thwarted when Justin entered the fracas and kicked him in the spine. Ruudboy got up and shoved Justin backwards, then found himself being tagged out by a recovering E. Haere, who reached in and slapped Ruudboy on the shoulder. This resulted in Ruudboy clotheslining Justin over the ropes, where he was soon joined by his tag team partner. Meanwhile, E. Haere grabbed Tyler and quickly delivered a crunching piledriver, scoring the first pin of both the match and his career. However, as he celebrated his victory, "Triple-D" cleared the ropes and automatically became the legal man, hitting a series of punches followed by a snap suplex on E. Haere. He then lifted his adversary over his head and dropped him face-first into the nearest turnbuckle. Already exhausted, the young superstar became an easy target for Dustin and Jared's finisher, the double-chokeslam, which led to "Triple-D" getting the second pinfall. When Dustin turned back around, though, Ruudboy and Johnny were lying in wait for him. As Ruudboy kept "Action Jim" at bay by trapping him in the corner, Johnny delivered an Ace crusher to Jared's partner, then went for the cover and allowed his team to retain the championships in their first-ever defense. Afterwards, a vengeful Justin returned to the ring just long enough to take out Ruudboy and "Action Jim" with martial arts kicks to the midsection, then fled backstage along with Tyler. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Lightheavyweight championship was about to be placed on the line, as the undefeated Chad Ehrmann made his way to the ring accompanied by a chorus of boos and derogatory chants. His scheduled opponent was "Action" Tim Brison, who had already received a title shot a few weeks before, but had recently won a match with Chad's help that gave him another shot at glory. Chad wasted no time in hitting Tim with a flurry of punches and kicks, then setting him up and delivering a vertical suplex. It became obvious that the champ wanted to get things over with and leave the arena before one of his multiple enemies showed up, but Tim slowed his opponent down with a hip-toss off the ropes and a chop-block to Chad's leg. Out of nowhere, a crazed Andrew McShane sprinted to the ring with a steel chair in his hands. Tim rather foolishly tried to reason with Andrew and got a chair smashed over his head as a result. Andrew then moved towards Chad and dented the weapon over his head as well. Finally, he ended the attack by climbing up on the turnbuckle and hitting an extremely high moonsault onto the helpless champion. Andrew was in the process of placing Tim over top of Chad when Ryan Estes stormed the ring and took Chad's assailant out with a standing side kick. He then pulled his friend over and set him on top of "Action" Tim, leaving the referee with no choice but to count the pinfall and award Chad the victory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next, Ryan Estes, the AGCSWF Television champion, made his way down the entrance ramp to face off against his good friend Clay Fergusen. The week before, Clay had lost a number-one contendership match for the TV belt, but Ryan had decided to grant him a shot anyway. However, just because they were friends didn't mean that they were planning on showing any mercy to one another, so Ryan laced into Clay with several European uppercuts, then whipped him off the ropes and hit a release belly-to-belly suplex. This stunned Clay to the point where he was barely able to kick out at two, but he then shocked the champ by delivering a drop toehold and locking on a camel clutch. Ryan was very close to tapping out, until Clay suddenly and unexpectedly showed mercy, releasing the hold. However, after helping Ryan to his feet, Clay then kicked him in the stomach and set him up for his trademark finisher, the double-underhook powerbomb. Ryan somehow escaped the move by hitting a low blow to his adversary, then bounced off the opposite ropes and charged full-steam towards Clay, who was bent over in agony. The champ hit Clay with a swinging neckbreaker, went for the cover, and got another two-count. As Ryan got back up, Clay surged forward and connected with a clothesline that left both men on the mat. Moments later, the two competitors locked up in a test of strength, but when Ryan grabbed Clay around the waist and prepared to hit a Northern Lights suplex, the challenger brought his fists down onto Ryan's back, then set him up once more and finally managed to deliver a double-underhook powerbomb. This led to the three-count and the surprising win for Clay, who was now the new AGCSWF TV champion. The referee handed Clay his belt, which he promptly strapped around his waist. He then went about trying to help Ryan recover, but the former champ was apparently in a bad mood following his loss, as he pushed his friend away and angrily stalked away from the ring. Although Clay was perplexed at Ryan's sudden change of heart, he was also very grateful to have accomplished his first title victory in the Federation, hopefully with many more to come. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The fans broke out into deafening boos as Adam Taylor's entrance music played over the loudspeakers and the former AGCSWF World Heavyweight champion came to the ring. Upon reaching the squared circle, Adam raised a microphone to his lips and began, "Okay, I know a lot of you probably hate my guts, and you have good reason to fell that way. But the fact is that losin' my World title a few weeks ago has made me stop and think about the way things have been around here. I'm now a humbled man, because I realize that while I was still champion, I kinda turned into a real jerk. I ain't gonna apologize to nobody for nothing, but I will say that from now on, you're going to see a different Adam Taylor." He stopped for a moment to gage the crowd's reaction to his statements, then continued. "The only thing I care about now is winnin' back the World title, and I can tell you that it will happen eventually. I'm just gonna have to keep workin' at it until Chad Martinac gives me a title shot, and I'm startin' tonight by takin' on Nathan Hall. So as always, if anyone has a problem with any of what I've said here, try complaining to someone who cares." With that, Adam threw down the mic and exited the ring, and while some fans seemed unconvinced that he had really turned over a new leaf, the majority appeared to have forgiven Adam as he headed backstage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brandon "Brando" Cowles and Razor, the AGCSWF Triple Threat champion, teamed up to take on the respective Intercontinental and European champs, Grant Ankrom and Peter Hartman, in a special grudge match which Brandon had asked Razor to participate in. Before the opening bell could even be sounded, Brandon went after the man who had stolen his European title, knocking Peter down with a shoulderblock and then raining down punches onto his face. In the meantime, Grant overpowered Razor with a powerslam off the ropes and a gorilla press-slam, but the wiry Triple Threat titleholder then knocked his opponent down for the count with a spinning heel kick. Brandon clotheslined Peter over the ropes, following him outside the squared circle and ramming him head-first into the steel ring steps. Peter evidently had a certain strategy in mind, as he fended Brandon off with a sucker punch and then started walking up the entrance ramp. It wasn't long before Brandon chased after him, and within a few minutes, both men had disappeared through the curtain, still brawling back and forth all the way. This left Razor and Grant alone in the ring, which gave Razor the chance to score a nearfall with a sunset flip, then nail the Intercontinental champ with a low dropkick to the knee and a headscissors takedown. Shortly thereafter, Razor searched underneath the ring and came up with a folding table, the same kind that Matt Roberts used in his matches. He set the table up right under one of the turnbuckles, then stunned Grant with a series of chest slaps and a facebuster. With his opponent unable to put up any sort of defense, Razor placed Grant on the top rope and prepared to hit a hurricanrana. Suddenly, though, Grant's younger brother Derek ran to the ring and got Razor's attention, which allowed Grant to recover long enough to push Razor backwards with all his might. The Triple Threat champ plunged right through the table and lay motionless, making it easy for Grant to jump down, pick Razor up onto his shoulders, and dump him on his head with a modified Death Valley Driver. Grant then scored the three-count, after which he and Derek beset upon Razor by literally stomping him into the mat until referees and officials held them off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Adam Taylor's entrance theme played for the second time that evening, as he prepared to take on Nathan Hall. Just as Nathan started to climb through the ropes, however, Adam charged forward and knocked him down to the arena floor. The former World champ then measured his opponent and connected with a suicide dive over the ropes, delighting the fans. A few moments later, Adam rolled Nathan into the ring, then caught him with a rolling DDT for a two-count. Nathan didn't even have a chance to recover before Adam hoisted him to a standing position and administered his Adam Taylor Takedown for the pinfall victory. Quite a few people were surprised at how quickly the match had ended, but Adam simply retreated to the locker room area without even sticking around to brag, which was definitely a change for him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Matt Roberts, the AGCSWF Hardcore champion, was about to put his title on the line in a six-pack challenge where only one man had to score the pin in order to walk away with the belt. As Matt completed his pre-match ritual of setting up a folding table in the middle of the ring, the other five competitors were introduced: Bryce Aaron Curtis, Nathan Bonner, Dane Gammon, Eric Delzell, and "Big R" Russell Davis. Dane quickly revealed that he was only out there to help keep the title in Matt's possession, as he and Matt brutally double-teamed Nathan for the first several minutes straight. In the meantime, Bryce, who was not accompanied by his valet Candie Hansen because he didn't want her to get injured, trapped Eric in the corner and unloaded several punishing elbows to his adversary's face. When Bryce turned around, Russell promptly whipped him into the opposite turnbuckle, then nailed him with a clothesline as he stumbled out of the corner. This resulted in a nearfall for "Big R," but Eric smashed a steel chair over Russell's forehead and went for the pin himself. Dane showed up just in time to crash Eric's party, kicking him in the shoulder to interrupt the count at two. He then got into a fistfight with Eric, slowly maneuvering him within range of Matt's arms. The champion grabbed Eric around the throat, did the same thing to Bryce when he got involved, and displayed an incredible amount of strength by chokeslamming both men. Matt's pinfall attempt on Bryce was foiled when Nathan picked up his aluminum baseball bat and whacked the champ across the spine with it. While this was going on, Dane had catapulted Russell between the ropes and outside the ring, but now he attacked Nathan and wrestled the bat away from his opponent, smashing it into Nathan's ribcage. Before the challenger could successfully regain his bearings, Dane climbed to the top rope and delivered a flying clothesline, setting Nathan up perfectly for Matt to chokeslam him through the folding table. However, "Big R" made a last-ditch effort to win the Hardcore title by striking Matt in the head with a fire extinguisher. Almost immediately, Dane connected with a big boot that took Russell off his feet, then delivered a powerslam off the ropes that shook the entire ring. The crowd implored Dane to make the cover and win the title, but instead, he took the fire extinguisher and drove it into Russell's head. "Big R" crumpled instantly, and Matt scored the win to retain his championship, proving that Dane was indeed more interested in his best friend's career than his own. As Matt and Dane left the squared circle, the bodies of their myriad opponents littered the area, much like the garbage that was being thrown by angry fans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the final contest of the night, Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac graciously defended his AGCSWF World Heavyweight title against Chris "Chrispytoast" Burros. Although Chrispy wasn't regarded as the most talented superstar on the roster, he still took the fight to Chad with a belly-to-belly suplex off the ropes. However, Chad kicked out at two, then shocked Chrispy by hitting a dropkick to the chest and a full nelson suplex for a two-count of his own. The action went back and forth in this manner for awhile, until Adam Taylor repeated himself from the week before by coming down the entrance ramp and standing right outside the ring without doing anything else. Chad may have wondered what Adam was up to, but he didn't let it show as he punched Chrispy in the jaw a few times and hit a faceplant off the ropes. Only a scant few moments later, Chad delivered a reverse neckbreaker to his adversary. As Chrispy struggled to offset the effects of the move, Chad set him up and launched into his trademark finisher, a back suplex into a sit-down Ligerbomb. The referee's hand slapped the mat three times, and Chad was announced as the winner and still World champion to a host of cheers from the elated crowd. Chad then dicovered that Adam was conspicuous by his absence, as he had already gone backstage while the champ was distracted with Chrispy. The show came to a close with a shot of Chad standing in the center of the ring, pondering the situation as Chrispy was tended to by Justin Penkert and Tyler Knotts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of November 6, 2000: World Heavyweight: Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Peter Hartman Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: Ruudboy and Johnny Lively Television: Clay Fergusen Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ All contents are property of the AGCS Wrestling Federation copyright 1999-2009.
