~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Results From the 10/30/2000 AGCSWF Live Event-- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grant Ankrom's music blasted through the speakers to open the 10/30/2000 Federation event, causing the fans to erupt into boos. The AGCSWF Intercontinental champion made his way to the ring along with his scheduled six-man tag team partners, "Big R" Russell Davis and Derek Ankrom, then asked for a microphone and said, "As many of you were lucky enough to witness last week, myself and my companions have now permanently driven Fast Eddie from the AGCSWF, just like we did with Crash about a month ago. And tonight, after my associate Peter Hartman beats Brandon Cowles to become the new European champion, we're going to eliminate 'Brando' from this company as well. No one has the guts to do anything about it, but if anyone is dumb enough to try and get involved, we will systematically destroy them." The fans booed even louder, then suddenly began cheering instead as "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts, Justin Penkert, and Chris "Chripytoast" Burros came down the entrance ramp. As always, Justin was accompanied by his trusted valet, Tina Vandiver, and as soon as the referee ordered the match to begin, a huge, uncontrollable brawl took place between all six competitors. Tyler threw Derek between the ropes, then chased after him and rammed his head into a nearby ringpost. When Tyler turned back around, he was assaulted by Russell, who had produced a wooden baseball bat. After smashing the weapon over Tyler's head, Russell returned to the ring and found himself on the receiving end of a roundhouse kick to the head from Justin. Justin went for the cover, but Grant broke it up just in time, then pulled Justin to his feet and punched him in the stomach, trying to set him up for a modified Death Valley Driver. Chrispy came to his friend's aid, however, knocking Grant off his feet with a chop-block, then hitting a belly-to-belly suplex for a nearfall. Derek suffered the same fate when he jumped into the squared circle and charged at Chrispy, and it was at this point that Justin left the ring to help Tyler recover and get to his feet. Once a somewhat dazed Tyler was able to wrestle again, he and Justin delivered a devastating double-spinebuster to Derek, allowing Justin to get the win for his team. Afterwards, Tyler, Justin, Chrispy and Tina all participated in mercilessly stomping on their adversaries until the referee ordered them to the locker room area by threatening to reverse the decision unless they complied. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next, Clay Fergusen took on his friend Ryan Estes, who just happened to be the Television champion. Although this match was not for the TV belt, if Clay scored the victory he would receive a title shot against Ryan the next week. However, if he lost, he'd get nothing at all, so he tore into Ryan from the opening bell and quickly overwhelmed the champ with a series of chest slaps, then whipped him off the ropes and hit a Samoan drop. Ryan shook his head to clear the cobwebs and then fought back, hitting a scoopslam on Clay, then kicking him in the spine when he sat up. Angrily, the challenger got to his feet and clotheslined Ryan to the mat. He then attempted to deliver his finisher, the double-underhook powerbomb, but Ryan narrowly escaped the maneuver by turning it into a back body-drop. Clay exited the squared circle to try and regain his bearings, then was laid out on the arena floor when Ryan connected with a suicide dive over the ropes. Shortly thereafter, Ryan rolled his opponent back into the ring and got a nearfall with a T-bone suplex. During the next few moments, the champion continued to do his best to put Clay down for good, but Clay somehow managed to kick out every time Ryan went for a pin. Finally, Clay stopped Ryan in his tracks with a low blow, then hurled him towards the ropes in desperation. When Clay went for a running forearm, Ryan ducked out of the way and caught his adversary with a Northern Lights suplex. This led to the three-count, meaning that Clay had fallen just short of reaching his goal. However, Ryan then grabbed a microphone and consoled his compatriot by telling him, "Don't worry about the fact that you lost here tonight, Clay, because you put on a spectacular match regardless of who won. And you know what? Even though the original stipulation for this match was that you would only get a TV title shot if you beat me, I think you deserve a chance at winning this belt anyway, so in exactly seven days, I'm going to put my title on the line just to prove that I'm a good sport." Ryan concluded his speech by shaking the hand of a surprised Clay Fergusen, and the two of them headed backstage together in anticipation of their title match the next week. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The AGCSWF Triple Threat champion, Razor, came to the ring for his scheduled title defense against Bryce Aaron Curtis and Dane Gammon, both of whom were quite a bit taller and stronger than their opponent. Dane had already entered the squared circle and was in the process of staring Razor down when Bryce showed up along with his valet, Candie Hansen. Bryce wasted no time in targeting Razor, hoping to end the match quickly as he punished the champ with a gutbuster, then scored a two-count after a fallaway slam. Dane moved in for the kill as Bryce got to his feet, hitting his adversary with a big boot and bouncing him off the opposite ropes. However, Bryce steamrolled over Dane with a clothesline, then walked right into a facebuster from Razor. The champion went for the pin, but Dane broke it up in the nick of time, then caught Razor in the corner and repeatedly drove his burly shoulder into his opponent's midsection. This was then followed by a gorilla press-slam that left Razor disoriented, giving Dane the opportunity to ascend to the top rope so that he could attempt a clothesline. But the champ foiled his adversary's plans by dropkicking the turnbuckle upon which Dane was standing. Dane plunged downward into the ring and landed in perfect position for Razor to climb up and hit a shooting star press. Once again, Bryce prevented Razor from scoring the victory, and it was at that moment when Nathan Bonner unexpectedly ran to the ring with an aluminum baseball bat in his hands. Bryce turned away from the task at hand in order to concentrate on ridding himself of Nathan. Bryce's most-hated nemesis completely ruined the former European titleholder's chances of winning the match when he smashed the bat into Bryce's ribcage and connected with an axe-kick to the back of his head. Nathan then retreated from the ring, leaving Razor to hit a spinning heel kick on Dane which knocked him all the way to the outside. The champ covered Bryce, who had been rendered senseless by Nathan's attack, and picked up the win to retain his belt. Following the match, Razor headed backstage, but Nathan stayed behind to inflict more misery on both Bryce and Dane, ignoring Candie Hansen's pleas that he leave her charge alone. As Nathan wrapped his baseball bat around Bryce's neck and started to choke him out, Matt Roberts made the save by going after Nathan and chasing him over the ringside barrier and into the crowd. The Hardcore champ then returned to the ring, helped Dane to a standing position, and chokeslammed Bryce to the mat in another example of his total lack of regard for anyone but himself and his best friend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chad Ehrmann, the undefeated AGCSWF Lightheavyweight champion, made his way down the entrance ramp dressed in a referee's outfit, which was certainly a change from the blue coveralls which he normally preferred to wrestle in. The reason Chad was dressed this way is because he would be the special guest referee for the upcoming fatal four-way elimination contest, which pitted Jared Rupp, "Action" Tim Brison, Andrew McShane, and David Temple against each other; whoever won this match would then be the number-one contender for Chad's title. Andrew started things off by giving Chad a stern warning that he was not to interfere in any way, then catching Tim with a hurricanrana. In the meantime, Jared locked up with David and hip-tossed his smaller opponent to the mat. Andrew then whipped Jared off the ropes, hit a flying clothesline, and locked on a deadly sleeperhold. However, "Action" Tim climbed up to the top turnbuckle and waited until he had gotten Andrew's attention, then flattened him with a missile dropkick. This yielded a nearfall for the younger brother of Jared "Action Jim" Brison, and when he got to his feet, he was hoisted into the air and dropped throat-first across the ropes by David, who also scored a two-count. Jared Rupp then raked the eyes of David and hit a spinebuster, grabbing onto his opponent's legs and flipping forward into a pinning position. Suddenly, Andrew reached over and jerked one of Jared's own legs out from under him. He followed this up by delivering a moonsault off the ropes onto Jared, then caught David with his trademark finishing move, the standing tornado DDT, and logged the first pin of the match. When Tim attacked Andrew from behind, he was unceremoniously clotheslined over the ropes, where he struck his head on the ring apron before collapsing to the ground. As Andrew prepared to hit his finisher on a recovering Jared, Chad Ehrmann reached into his pocket and brought out his pair of brass knuckles. Andrew knew exactly what the conniving guest referee had on his mind, so he let go of Jared and tackled Chad, then unloaded with a flurry of punches onto the champion's face. Although Chad could have justifiably disqualified Andrew, he didn't need to, because Jared took hold of Andrew and kept his arms restrained long enough for Chad to slug him in the jaw with all his might. This made the three-count by Jared little more than elementary, bringing the number of competitors down to only two. Jared, who still considered Chad to be an enemy but was grateful for his actions, stepped forward and went for a high-five; however, Chad would have none of it, as he punched Jared with the brass knuckles, then motioned for Tim to hurry up and get back into the ring. Chad then placed Jared's lifeless body several feet away from the turnbuckle and stepped away so that Tim could climb up to the top rope and hit a diving headbutt for the final three-count. At first, the fans wondered if there was some sort of alliance between Chad and Tim, but their fears were quickly laid to rest after Chad raised the new number-one contender's arm in victory, then gave him a low blow and a double-arm DDT. Chad then left the ring and went backstage to a chorus of boos and derogatory chants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Tag Team titles were about to be put up for grabs as "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison came to the squared circle. Their opponents, Ruudboy and Johnny Lively, had turned quite a few heads in the Federation by picking up three consecutive victories over different teams within the span of three weeks, and now they were taking on the champs themselves. Jared and Ruudboy were the first two men to get involved, as "Action Jim" delivered a couple stiff forearm shots to his adversary, then bounced him off the opposite ropes and took him down with a drop toehold. Ruudboy kicked out of Jared's subsequent pin attempt, then tagged in Johnny, who immediately speared Jared in the gut for a two-count. When Jared struggled back up to his feet, Johnny readied himself, then speared his opponent a second time. Before Johnny could go for the pin, however, "Triple-D" stormed the ring and took him apart with a snap suplex and a running powerslam. As Jared moved in for the kill, Ruudboy saved his partner's hide by nailing Dustin with a bulldog, then whipping "Action Jim" off the ropes. But Jared had more than one trick up his sleeve, as he hit Ruudboy with a rising knee to the face, followed by a backbreaker. The champs appeared to have the match well in hand, at least until "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts and Justin Penkert sprinted to the ring without warning and caught Jared with a double-spinebuster. Justin then hit a martial arts kick to the chest of "Triple-D" as Tyler exited the squared circle, making it easy for Johnny to crawl over and go for the cover on Jared. Ruudboy and Johnny were announced as the winners and new AGCSWF Tag Team champions, making them only the second team in history to hold the straps; but while this was going on, the Haere Brothers had come out from behind the curtain to attack Tyler and Justin, then found themselves being jumped from behind by Chris Burros. Rather than make things worse by getting involved, Ruudboy and Johnny opted to get out while they still could, taking their title belts with them as they left the arena. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brandon "Brando" Cowles prepared to do battle with Peter Hartman, who had stolen the victory in a triple threat match the week before to gain a shot at Brandon's European title. As was to be expected, Peter brought along his cliquemates Grant Ankrom, "Big R" Russell Davis, and Derek Ankrom, which seemingly guaranteed that "Brando" would not be walking away with the belt around his waist. Just the same, Brandon had his opponent reeling within a matter of seconds after hitting him with a reverse neckbreaker and an elbow to the sternum, but Peter scored a one-count following a crucifix, then delivered a faceplant off the ropes for another nearfall. However, Brandon refused to give up, wrestling Peter to the mat and wrenching his leg with an anklelock submission hold. The challenger was so far away from the ropes that escaping the move was virtually impossible, and just as he was about to tap out and concede defeat, Russell and Derek climbed into the ring. "Big R" went after Brandon first, receiving a brainbuster suplex for his trouble; Derek then attempted to take on the champ, but was also dropped on his head. The crowd exploded into cheers, as they were seeing one of their favorite superstars fight off his most hated archenemies right in front of their eyes. Suddenly, Grant entered the squared circle and clocked Brandon across the head with his Intercontinental title belt. Peter then set an unconscious Brandon up on the top rope and delivered a crunching back suplex, all but sealing the champion's fate. Some fans couldn't believe that they had just witnessed the crowning of a new European titleholder, but unfortunately for Brandon, it was true. As Peter took his belt from the referee, Federation officials flooded the ring and pulled Brandon to safety before the other members of Grant's stable had a chance to seriously injure him, like they had done to both Fast Eddie and Crash. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Although the fans were disappointed at how the previous match had turned out, their spirits were lifted when Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac, the AGCSWF World Heavyweight champion, showed up for his scheduled title defense against Nicholaas Leembruggen. The former World champ, Adam Taylor, was nowhere to be seen, but that didn't bother Chad as he laced into his opponent with a combination of lefts and rights, then bounced off the ropes and went for a sunset flip. He couldn't make it all the way, though, and Nick ended up sitting on his chest for a two-count. Once Chad had gotten to the point where he could breathe again, he noticed Adam making his way down to the ringside area, then stopping just short of the ring itself and simply stood there. Chad decided not to let Adam's presence get to him, and instead he concentrated on delivering a Fisherman's suplex to Nick. But Nick was just a little too strong, and he was able to reverse the move into a vertical suplex of his own. He then kicked his opponent in the midsection and set him up for a jackknife powerbomb. Chad held on for dear life as he was hoisted into the sky and grabbed Nick's head before the challenger could complete his planned finishing move. He capitalized on this by frantically punching Nick in the face until he had no choice but to release the champ, after which Chad caught him in a small package for a nearfall. Infuriated, Nick slugged his adversary across the back of his neck and connected with a back body-drop. Nick clearly had the advantage in this contest as he shoved Chad into the corner, but when Nick tried to hit a big splash, Chad rolled to the side, leaving his opponent to collide with the top turnbuckle. As Nick stumbled backwards, Chad quickly came up behind him and delivered a flawless German suplex for a three-count and the win. After the bell had sounded, the triumphant World champion held his title belt in the air and looked over in the direction of Adam Taylor, who continued to stand in one place without moving or offering any sort of explanation as the show came to a close. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of October 30, 2000: World Heavyweight: Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Peter Hartman Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: Ruudboy and Johnny Lively Television: Ryan Estes Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann All contents are property of the AGCS Wrestling Federation copyright 1999-2009.
