~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Results From the 10/16/2000 AGCSWF Live Event-- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 10/16/2000 AGCSWF show started out with the entrance of the Haere Brothers, E. Haere and N. Haere, who would be taking on the team of Ruudboy and Johnny Lively. The brothers' opponents had done so well in a match against Ryan Estes and Clay Fergusen the week before that they had officially moved into Tag Team title contention; and although N. Haere was still taped-up as a result of the bruised ribs he had suffered a few weeks ago, he tore into Ruudboy with great determination at the outset of the match. After only a few moments of solid offense by N. Haere, Ruudboy managed to turn things around with a running powerslam for a nearfall. He then lifted N. Haere to his feet and connected with a bulldog from behind, which might have led to the win had E. Haere not stormed the ring and broken up the count. Johnny jumped into the squared circle as well and began to brawl with E. Haere, who shocked his adversary with a dropkick to the chest followed by a scoopslam and a swinging neckbreaker. Since Johnny wasn't the legal man, E. Haere could not go for the pinfall, so he instead focused on taking down Ruudboy so that his brother could score the pin. As Ruudboy and E. Haere engaged in a fistfight, Johnny struggled back up to a standing position, grabbed E. Haere from behind, and stunned him with an Ace crusher. Moments later, Ruudboy delivered his own finisher, the Ruuditude, to a dazed N. Haere for a three-count and the victory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Television title was about to be put up for grabs as Ryan Estes, along with his companions Clay Fergusen and the Lightheavyweight champ, Chad Ehrmann, made his way to the ring in preparation for a match against Eric Delzell. Ryan and Clay, who had gotten into an argument the week before when Ryan inadvertently cost Clay the pin in a tag team situation, did not seem to be in the best of spirits. It didn't matter, though, because the TV belt was on the line, and Eric knew this better than anyone as he punished the champ with several uppercuts in a row, then bounced him off the ropes and into a back body-drop. However, Ryan was not willing to let himself be overtaken that easily. He retaliated with a rising knee to Eric's face, followed by a T-bone suplex for a two-count. At this point, Clay walked over to the announcer's table and picked up the TV title belt, instantly making his true intentions known to the world. Eric, however, seemed oblivious to what Clay was doing as he positioned Ryan in the corner and drove his shoulder into the champ's gut several times. With both competitors starting to show signs of exhaustion, Clay jumped into the squared circle and charged towards Eric with the belt in his hands. At the last possible second, Eric threw his arms up in front of his face and ducked down to the mat, leaving an unsuspecting Ryan to become the sole recipient of Clay's aggression. With his opponent unconscious and Clay in a temporary state of shock from the realization of what he had just done, Eric seized his opportunity, picking Clay up into the air and dropping him throat-first across the ropes. It looked as though Eric might be well on his way to winning the TV title, but Chad Ehrmann made sure that didn't happen by slipping on his infamous pair of brass knuckles and clocking the challenger in the head. He then placed Ryan over top of Eric for the three-count as the infuriated crowd booed and chanted derogatory names. Moments later, both Ryan and Clay were on their feet and in each other's faces, just like they had been seven days ago; only this time, things appeared to have become a bit more personal, as the TV champ angrily shoved his compatriot backwards and then headed to the locker room area without another word. Chad and Clay scratched their heads in confusion, wondering exactly what could have gone wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brandon "Brando" Cowles, the AGCSWF European champion, and Fast Eddie formed a somewhat uneasy tag team in a matchup against Peter Hartman and "Big R" Russell Davis. Eddie had stated that the only reason he was in the same ring as Brandon was because of their common enemy, and predictably, he sat back and allowed the European champ to do most of the work. Brandon hit Peter with a flying clothesline and a backbreaker before having his momentum reversed, as Peter tagged in "Big R" and helped his partner set Brandon up for a tandem suplex. Russell then dropped an elbow onto Brandon's chest for a nearfall, but it wasn't long before the champ fought back with a flurry of kicks and a hip toss off the ropes. Suddenly, Fast Eddie stepped into the ring and nonchalantly tapped Brandon on the shoulder. Annoyed, the champion whirled around and was immediately taken to the mat with a low blow and a hard slap across the face. Brandon looked up in amazement as Eddie pulled back and kicked him in the chest, drawing the ire of the fans. Eddie then left the ring and headed backstage as Peter and Russell tried to figure out what was going on. "Big R" shrugged, tagged in Peter, and watched as his friend set a helpless Brandon up and delivered a reverse Russian legsweep, scoring the pinfall. Derek Ankrom then showed up and aided the members of his brother Grant's stable as Peter and Russell brutally stomped on the European champ, until referees and officials finally came down and sent them to the locker room area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The crowd became divided between cheers and boos as Matt Roberts, the AGCSWF Hardcore champion, made his way to the ring for his scheduled title defense against Nathan Bonner. As always, Matt started out by setting up a folding table in the middle of the ring, and when Nathan showed up carrying an aluminum baseball bat, things started to get ugly as the challenger immediately attacked his burly opponent. He smashed the weapon into Matt's knee, then struck the Hardcore champ in the spine. However, Matt pulled himself together and landed several stiff punches to Nathan's face, then clotheslined him to the mat and went for the pin, which only resulted in a two-count. The fans were astounded that Matt was even standing after having been hit with a baseball bat as he repeatedly stomped on Nathan's midsection, following that up with a big boot off the ropes and a vertical suplex. But it wasn't long before Nathan had recovered and seized the bat once more, jamming it into Matt's gut and then wrapping it around the champ's throat in a desperate attempt to choke him out. Matt struggled to take in air as Nathan hung on for dear life, and the Hardcore title might have changed hands, except for the fact that Bryce Aaron Curtis chose this moment to appear out of nowhere and dent a steel chair over Nathan's head. Nathan let go of Matt and stumbled back and forth for a few seconds before collapsing. Bryce then placed the chair directly on top of Nathan's face and delivered a devastating legdrop, which allowed Matt to go for the cover and retain his championship. As Matt took his title belt from the referee and started to leave, Bryce went after him as well, and a furious brawl exploded between the two men. Although Matt was slightly worn-out, he still managed to end the confrontation within a matter of seconds by chokeslamming Bryce through the folding table. Having proved his dominance, Matt then exited the squared circle and stalked up the entrance ramp. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next, Razor defended his AGCSWF Triple Threat title against Chris "Chrispytoast" Burros and Nicholaas Leembruggen, two men who had an obvious size and strength advantage over the champ. Nonetheless, Razor took the fight to Chrispy as the referee signaled for the bell, and things went back and forth for a few minutes until Razor got the upper hand with a spinning heel kick off the ropes. It was then that Nick got involved, beating on Razor and distracting him so that Chris could score a nearfall with a belly-to-belly suplex. Chris then found himself on the receiving end of a monstrous clothesline and a shoulderbreaker from Nick, which led to another two-count. In the meantime, Razor exited the ring and soon returned, carrying a metal lunch tray in his hands. However, Chris knew what was coming and ducked out of the way as Razor swung at him, then tackled the champ to the mat and threw him between the ropes. As Chris turned around in triumph, only to have Nick get in his way again, Razor was beset upon by Chrispy's friends, "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts and Justin Penkert. Just then, the Tag Team champions, "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison, came running down the entrance ramp and got into a brawl with Tyler and Justin. Chrispy soon joined the fracas outside the ring, but Razor climbed up onto the nearest turnbuckle and nailed his opponent with a twisting moonsault, leaving Chrispy in a heap on the arena floor. Razor then rolled back into the ring a second time and successfully avoided a big boot from Nick. The champion picked up his metal lunch tray, surprised Nick by tossing it to him, and promptly dropkicked the weapon into Nick's face when he caught it. Now it was time for Razor to seal the deal, as he caught Nick with a facebuster and then hit a shooting star press off the top rope for the three-count. Shortly thereafter, "Triple-D" and "Action Jim," having vanquished their respective adversaries as well, joined Razor in the squared circle as the reigning champ celebrated his win. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the next-to-last match of the evening, Grant Ankrom put his Intercontinental title up for grabs against Nathan Hall. Before Nathan could be properly introduced, though, Grant asked for a microphone and launched into a diatribe, ignoring the boos of the fans. "Listen up, everyone, because I've got some issues to address. First of all, allow me to inform one Brandon Cowles that he's not going to have that European title belt around his waist for too much longer. If Russell Davis doesn't win it from you, then Peter Hartman will, and there's nothing anyone can do about that. Also, it appears that I was absolutely right when I said that Crash would never again set foot into an AGCSWF ring, and that's just the way we like it." Grant paused long enough for the crowd to quiet down somewhat, then continued. "But you can all rest assured that if Crash ever does come back to the AGCSWF, he will be dealt with quickly and efficiently, unlike last time, when it took us almost two months to get rid of him. Regardless, I don't think we have to worry about Crash anymore, so the only thing I have to fear is fear itself...and of course, the loss of my Intercontinental title, which isn't going to happen as long as I'm still physically able to wrestle. Now, bring out my opponent so I can finish him off and call it a night!" Almost immediately, Nathan made his way to the ring and locked up with Grant, surprising him with a scoopslam and a big elbow. Grant responded by jumped to his feet in anger and kicking Nathan in the groin, then delivering a rolling DDT for a nearfall. The match went back and forth in this manner for awhile until Nathan almost became the new Intercontinental champ via tap-out after hitting Grant with a spinebuster and then locking him in a Boston crab. However, Grant narrowly managed to make it to the ropes despite the incredible pain he was suffering, which meant that Nathan was forced to break the hold. When Nathan turned his back for just a split second, Grant capitalized by taking out his knee from behind, then catching him with a sidewalk slam. But the champ was too exhausted to go for the pin, and Nathan was actually the first competitor to get to his feet a few moments later. Sensing victory, the challenger helped Grant into the nearest corner, then stepped back and charged at him, attempting a full-body splash. Grant's trained reflexes allowed him to escape in the nick of time, and his adversary knocked the wind out of himself rather than the champion. Nathan then stumbled right into Grant's trademark finishing move, the modified Death Valley Driver, and was easily pinned to continue Grant's unblemished win streak in the AGCSWF. After the match had concluded, Grant took his title belt and smashed it over Nathan's head on his way out of the ring, causing the fans to erupt into even louder boos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dane Gammon's entrance music blasted throughout the arena as the best friend of Matt Roberts walked down the entrance ramp and entered the ring. Dane would be taking on Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac in a contest where the winner would receive an AGCSWF World Heavyweight title shot against Adam Taylor the very next week. Although Dane was still considered to be one of the most inexperienced wrestlers in the Federation, he went after Chad with a vengeance, whipping his opponent off the ropes and clotheslining him to the mat, then powerslamming him for a two-count. Chad regained the psychological advantage by leaving the ring and taunting Dane, then hurling his opponent into the steel ring steps when Dane came out after him. Chad rolled Dane back into the squared circle, connected with a cross body block off the ropes, and climbed to the top turnbuckle, delivering a missile dropkick which yielded another nearfall. It was obvious that Chad was close to winning the match, at least until Dane stopped him in his tracks with a crunching pumphandle slam. Dane then went for the cover, and Chad barely kicked out right before the referee's hand could hit the mat for a third time. Frustrated, Dane picked Chad up to his feet and prepared to hit the pumphandle slam once more; however, this time Chad managed to escape the maneuver and catch Dane with a reverse neckbreaker, much to the delight of the fans. Realizing that a coveted World title shot was almost in his hands, Chad set Dane up and hit a back suplex into a sit-down Ligerbomb, and although Dane was considerably larger than his adversary, he was unable to muster the strength to kick out in time. The fans roared their approval as Chad celebrated his victory, knowing that he now had a guaranteed chance at finally winning the AGCSWF World title. Suddenly, Adam Taylor came running down to the ring and engaged the new number-one contender in a heated fistfight. Adam was apparently miffed because Chad had thwarted his attempts to prevent the challenger from gaining a title shot, and he let Chad know how he felt in no uncertain terms, hitting a low blow and then delivering his Adam Taylor Takedown. As the show came to a close, Adam stood over the body of his most hated archenemy and held the World title belt in the air, ignoring the boos which were being directed at him by a riotous crowd. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of October 16, 2000: World Heavyweight: Adam Taylor Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Brandon "Brando" Cowles Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison Television: Ryan Estes Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Results From the 10/23/2000 AGCSWF Live Event-- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The opening match of the twelfth AGCSWF show featured Clay Fergusen taking on "Big R" Russell Davis in a one-on-one contest. Russell made his entrance first, accompanied by his stablemate, Derek Ankrom. Clay then came to the ring with his friends, the Television champion Ryan Estes and the Lightheavyweight champ Chad Ehrmann. Before the proceedings could take place, however, Ryan grabbed a nearby microphone and said, "Clay, you know as well as anyone that what happened last week was just a misunderstanding. I was a little bummed about you hitting me in the head with my own title belt, but I realize that you obviously didn't mean to do it. We've been buddies for a long time now, and I don't want us to start feuding over a stupid situation like this one." The TV champ handed the mic to Clay and awaited a response. "Well, Ryan," Clay began. "You're right. We have been good friends for quite awhile, and I don't see any reason why we should stop being friends. All I ask is that you try to keep your temper in check, and I'll do the same. And if you really want to make things right, you could grant me a title shot next week. How about it?" Ryan thought for a moment, then said, "Okay, you've got yourself a deal. I'll give you a chance to win this belt, but on one condition: you have to beat me in a non-title match first." Ryan and Clay then shook hands to seal the agreement, and just as Clay turned around, he was hit with an unexpected hip toss off the ropes and a shoulderblock from "Big R." As Clay's companions hurriedly exited the ring, he countered Russell's onslaught by hitting a swinging neckbreaker and a crucifix for a nearfall, then pulling "Big R" to his feet and delivering a crunching piledriver. Clay went for the cover, but Derek entered the squared circle and kicked Clay in the ribs, breaking up the pinfall. Ryan and Chad then got involved as well, hitting a double-clothesline that sent the younger brother of Grant Ankrom spiraling over the ropes and to the outside. The distractions allowed Russell to catch Clay with a drop toehold and wrap him up in a figure-four leglock. However, Chad slipped on his pair of brass knuckles and punched "Big R" in the head, which allowed Clay to set his opponent up and deliver a double-underhook powerbomb for the victory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next, "Tytanic" Tyler Knotts and Justin Penkert (along with Tina Vandiver) walked down the entrance ramp for their match against the highly successful team of Ruudboy and Johnny Lively. The winners of this contest would go on to face "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison for the AGCSWF Tag Team titles the very next week. Accordingly, the competitors laced into each other at the outset of the match, with Tyler scoring a nearfall after delivering a belly-to-belly suplex to Johnny. Meanwhile, Justin and Ruudboy brawled back and forth, eventually ending up outside the ring, where Tina got Ruudboy's attention just long enough so that Justin could charge forward and clothesline him to the mat. Back in the squared circle, Johnny whipped Tyler off the ropes and hit a running forearm, then delivered a powerslam and dropped his knee onto Tyler's gut. When Johnny went for the pin, Justin made the save for his partner by violently karate-chopping his adversary across the spine. Johnny rolled off of Tyler and held his lower back in pain, allowing Justin to help Tyler up so that they could both stomp Johnny into oblivion. Tyler and Justin then hit a tandem suplex before Ruudboy finally returned to action, bouncing Tyler off the ropes and taking him down with a low back body-drop. Justin attempted to nail Ruudboy in the head with a roundhouse kick, but Ruudboy moved out of the way, then grabbed his opponent and launched into his trademark finishing maneuver, the Ruuditude. The only problem was that neither Ruudboy or Justin were the legal men in the ring. This didn't seem to matter, though, because Johnny used the ropes to pull himself into a standing position, then stunned Tyler with an Ace crusher as he got back to his own feet. This made it easy for Johnny to score the three-count, giving himself and Ruudboy a shot at the Tag Team titles. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chad Ehrmann, the still-undefeated AGCSWF Lightheavyweight champion, put his belt on the line against David Temple. A lot of fans were distrustful of Chad due to some of his despicable actions, so the majority of the crowd seemed to be on David's side as the challenger started things off with a flurry of punches and kicks that found their mark. However, Chad would not be overwhelmed that easily, as he delivered a vertical suplex and a backbreaker to David for a two-count, then smashing David's head into the nearest turnbuckle and throwing him between the ropes. The fans exploded into loud boos as soon as they saw Chad reach into his coveralls, because they knew he was about to put on his brass knuckles for the second time that evening. But David suddenly reached into the ring, swept Chad's legs out from under him, and climbed back into the squared circle with a fire extinguisher in his hands. After emptying the contents of said weapon all over Chad's face, David ascended to the top rope and tried for a flying clothesline. Chad, who had been stumbling around and shaking his head in an effort to clear his field of vision, saw David in the nick of time and ducked, leaving his opponent to slam full-force into the mat and nearly break his arm. The champ then took advantage of his opportunity by waiting until David had gotten up under his own power, then delivering a low blow with the brass knuckles. This wasn't all, however, because Chad then stepped forward and hit a sharp uppercut to David's chin, crumpling the challenger instantly. Chad covered David and scored the victory, but as he was leaving the ring, a furious Andrew McShane confronted him. Rather than get involved in another fight, Chad simply turned his back on Andrew and tried to leave, which proved to be a mistake, as Andrew attacked the champ from behind with a dropkick. He then stole Chad's title belt and clocked his nemesis in the forehead with it as the fans wildly cheered his actions. Ryan Estes and Clay Fergusen showed up to exact revenge on Andrew and found that they were too late, as he had already jumped over the ringside barrier and disappeared into the crowd, taking Chad's belt with him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Matt Roberts, the AGCSWF Hardcore champion, came to the ring in preparation for what might prove to be the most difficult situation of his short career, as he was slated to take on both Nathan Bonner and Bryce Aaron Curtis in a handicap match for the title. Prior to the introduction of his opponents, Matt changed his pre-match ritual slightly by setting up not one, but two folding tables in the ring. Bryce then made his entrance, and because of the very real potential for injury, he was not accompanied by his valet, Candie Hansen. Finally, Nathan appeared with an aluminum baseball bat in his hands, and the referee sounded the bell to begin the carnage. Immediately, both Nathan and Bryce went after Matt with a variety of vicious double-team moves, and for the first several minutes, the champion was basically flat-out destroyed by his conspiring adversaries. However, when Nathan delivered an axe-kick to the back of Matt's head, an argument over who should be the man to score the pin arose. Bryce wanted to become the new Hardcore champion so that he would have a belt around his waist once again, and Nathan wanted to become the champ so that people would start to take him more seriously as a wrestler. It wasn't long before the two combatants had begun to brawl with one another, and Nathan got the upper hand after jamming his bat into Bryce's stomach. He then reared back and hit a second axe-kick, but just then, Matt surged to his feet, grabbed Nathan around the throat, and shocked everyone in attendance by chokeslamming the challenger all the way over the ropes and outside the ring. Although Matt was disoriented and exhausted, he managed to drop a big elbow onto Bryce's chest, giving him the three-count and the win to retain his championship. While some people were happy about what had just taken place, others were not, and they expressed their feelings by raining down garbage on the Hardcore titleholder as he left the ring and headed backstage. A group of EMTs then rushed down the entrance ramp and tended to Nathan, who had had the wind badly knocked out of him when he was chokeslammed over the ropes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ One-half of the AGCSWF Tag Team champions, Jared "Action Jim" Brison, strutted to the ring for his scheduled confrontation with Chris "Chrispytoast" Burros, who had already made his way down the entrance ramp. For once, neither man was accompanied by any of his friends, but it didn't squash their enthusiasm as they locked up in the center of the ring. Chrispy used his strength to whip Jared off the ropes and knock him for a loop with a thunderous chest slap, then picked him up and hit a faceplant. "Action Jim" kicked out at two, and the match continued as Chrispy nailed Jared with a big splash which led to another nearfall. At this point, Chrispy was starting to wonder what he would need to do in order to actually score a three-count over his adversary. However, his train of thought was interrupted when Jared's tag partner, "Triple-D" Dustin Day, made his presence known at ringside. Unknown to Chris Burros, "Triple-D" had an unloaded paintball gun hidden behind his back, and when Chrispy came over to argue with him, Dustin jumped up and drove the butt of his gun into the side of Chrispy's head. Tyler Knotts and Justin Penkert attacked "Triple-D" and chased him to the locker room area, but the damage had already been done, as Jared simply rolled over on top of Chrispy and got the win, having not even connected with a single offensive move. "Action Jim" then took his belt, left the ring, and went backstage to assist his partner in case Dustin was still having trouble. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brandon "Brando" Cowles, the extremely popular European champion, made his way to the ring for a unique triple threat match against Fast Eddie and Peter Hartman. The stipulation was that if either Eddie or Peter scored the win, they would be given a European title shot at the next event. Fast Eddie, who had turned on Brandon the week before without giving an explanation, was the next combatant to show up, and the champ could no longer contain his rage as he left the ring and punched Eddie in the mouth as hard as he could. Brandon then continued to beat on Eddie without showing any signs of letting up, and through it all, Peter Hartman was nowhere to be seen. The match could not officially begin until Peter was there, so Brandon took Eddie over to the announcer's table, smashed a nearby TV monitor over his head, then powerbombed him onto the table, which split right in the middle but amazingly did not break in half. Eddie appeared to have seriously hurt himself, but that was no concern of Brandon's, as he rolled the challenger into the ring and forced him into the corner. Brandon repeatedly kicked Eddie in the midsection, then placed him on the top rope and decimated him with a huge fallaway slam. Even though the match still had yet to start, the referee did his absolute best to pull Brandon away from Eddie, and succeeded only after the champion had finished his adversary off with a brainbuster suplex. Out of nowhere, the AGCSWF Intercontinental champion Grant Ankrom ran down to the ring and got into a fight with Brandon, positioning him up against the ropes and clotheslining him to the outside. Grant then looked towards the curtains, frantically waved his arm, and left the ring to concentrate on keeping Brandon out of the way. Peter Hartman sprinted down the entrance ramp, ignoring the referee's questions as to where he had been in favor of going for the cover on Eddie, who was in considerable agony and unable to defend himself. The ref ordered the bell to be rung so that the match could start, then logged the three-count and awarded Peter the victory. Afterwards, Peter and Grant hightailed it out of the arena, having pulled off one of the biggest coups in the history of the Federation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The final contest of the evening pitted Adam Taylor, the once-admired but now-despised AGCSWF World Heavyweight champion, against Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac, with the title on the line. It had taken Chad many, many weeks to get to where he was now, and he refused to let this opportunity to go to waste, attacking Adam before the bell had even sounded. Chad whipped Adam off the ropes and clotheslined him, then caught him with a release German suplex and a reverse neckbreaker. The champion, who had evidently been taken by surprise, retreated to relative safety outside the squared circle, but Chad followed behind and dropkicked Adam, causing him to fall backwards into the steel ring steps. It may have looked as though Adam was out on his feet; however, upon returning to the ring, he demonstrated the resiliency that he was known for by scoring a two-count over Chad with a sunset flip, then taking him down with a running leg lariat off the ropes. Chad took Adam by surprise, hitting a cobra clutch suplex and then making the cover, but the champ narrowly kicked out. Adam then DDT'ed Chad and prepared to hit the Adam Taylor Takedown, missing his chance when Chad hoisted him up into a fireman's carry and dumped him onto his head and back. The crowd had never seen a contest go back and forth like this before, and it was obvious that the two competitors were very evenly matched. But in the end, it was Chad who turned out to be the better man, at least on this particular evening, because only moments after escaping the Adam Taylor Takedown, he hit the champion with a kidney punch, then set him up and delivered his trademark finisher, a back suplex into a sit-down Ligerbomb. The fans counted along as the referee's hand struck the mat one, two, three times to signify Chad's ultimate triumph over adversity. Following the match, Chad took his newly-won World Heavyweight title belt and climbed to the top turnbuckle, scarcely believing that he had just captured the championship after a long, hard struggle. The show gradually came to an end with the image of Chad Martinac walking up the entrance ramp with his prize, as a humiliated Adam Taylor remained on his back in the ring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ List of AGCSWF Champions as of October 23, 2000: World Heavyweight: Chad "Jitterbug" Martinac Intercontinental: Grant Ankrom European: Brandon "Brando" Cowles Triple Threat: Razor Hardcore: Matt Roberts Tag Team: "Triple-D" Dustin Day and Jared "Action Jim" Brison Television: Ryan Estes Lightheavyweight: Chad Ehrmann ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ All contents are property of the AGCS Wrestling Federation copyright 1999-2009.
