The CIRCLE Statement

Made By QBasicBoy

Lets first talk about the CIRCLE statement itself....well....it makes circles in QBasic. A very simple task and mostly useless is what I first thought when I learned it. As you use it though, you will find that you use it for graphics more that you had expected.

To use the circle statement you use this procedure:
CIRCLE (x, y), diameter, color

There are more features to the circle statement than the above, but, they are hardly used, so I won't go into them.

The entire concept is very simple and mostly self explanitory. The x variable represents how many pixels from the left of the screen, the center of the circle will be, while the y variable represents how many pixels down the center of the circle will be.

The diameter variable represents how many pixels the diameter of the circle will be.

The Color variable represents what color the circle border will be. The most commonly used colors and the numbers 1-15. To see a complete list of all the colors, see the Colors Tutorial (soon to come).

Here is a sample program for the circle statement:

CLS
SCREEN 9
CIRCLE (100, 100), 20, 1

I hope this tutorial was explanitory enough. If you have any additional questions about the CIRCLE statement, please feel free to e-mail me.
