Drawing Into Fetal

It starts with a trauma
That you can never remember
With clarity
Then it's the little things
A bad day
A rude comment
Then it builds
Slowly, so you don't notice it
And the gaps become bigger and bigger
Until you can't remember whole weeks
Or what you got for Christmas
Or for your birthday
Before you know it
Your whole life is gone
All you have is today
And that will disappear by tomorrow
You don't mean to do it
But it's so easy after you start
And it's hard to forget
How to forget
