The padded room

If the moon is a natural object...how come every time you look at it, you see the same side?!?!? Why isn't it rotating? Maybe it's artificial?!?!? Just food for thought.

Namaste,
Tao of Earth

Ahh my first enquiry of a loony nature, so I have dwelt over this matter, and have been amused by some possibilities.
By all accounts the moon's own rotation is equal to that of it's orbit, a rotation that we all know is around a month. This ensures that a specific side of the moon is facing the Earth from any fixed position upon it's surface. There is no dark side of the moon, all it's surface receives equal amounts of light. If NASA and world media are to be believed, then we have actually obtained manned orbits around the moon itself. So we know it is a rock, and a big one at that. But what is it really.
Our mutual history abounds with mystery, much of this revolves around lunar occurrences. Undoubtedly the moon has followed us throughout the dawning of mankind, and will be with us all ways, but what of that. It is just a rock, circling in synchronous rotations.
Yes sure it is a rock, but even rocks have power, one as big as that, with aged structures set within the flow of the cosmos. There is know way of telling what it is capable of compared to ants like us.
So if we are the ants, and the earth is the antfarm, then the moon is the eye. One single eternal pupil, omnipotently focused on the surface of the world through out history and beyond. But who's eye is it? That is a question for another time, suffice to say, something is watching.
So if the moon is a mechanism beyond our understanding, why didn't the lunar landings uncover at least a few clues? Maybe they did, don't look at me, I don't have clearance to even shit. Maybe they went all the way up there and found life, maybe life found them, off camera, with a quick gurgle and an expensive morph transformation. We've seen enough half baked movies to guess what happens next.
But I diverge, the simple fact is no matter what our methods, we will never reveal the moon to be more the a rock with a quirky orbit. It's shell is thick, it's lens murky, but can we communicate with it. Have we been communicating with it. Is it but a telephone to god, is it up there we should all be looking when we prey. If I shout loud enough can it hear me. Oppps I diverged again.
So we have an lens to the universe, do we have the ability to look our maker in the eye, do we have the balls to try, have we done so already, should we build a pyramid, should we focus it's light, should we nuke the sucker out of sight. Oh, the mysteries remain, but don't worry about them, just remind yourself next full moon,

someone is watching you.

This is one for my friend MoonLite.

This is it, if the moon was made out of cheese, then why?
I have thought hard, enetually concluding that, if the moon is cheese, than it has to be meant for some one to eat. Or something, perhaps a rat, a gigantic cosmic rat. A cosmic rat that devours moons, sweeping across the universe in a never ending search for cheese, a rarity perhaps. So if there is a rat and the moon is the cheese, then the earth must be the trap. Just think about it.
