Moffatts: Good afternoon

I- Boy you guys are keeping busy, it’s like one long tour for you guys!

Scott- Yeah it’s been about a 2 year tour for us now

I- Ok I’ve gotta ask you what do your girlfriends at home saying about all this?

Scott- Well.....we don’t have any and that’s one of the reasons we don’t

I- (laughs) Your mom just turned green when I said that! So no one back home waiting for you guys?

Moffatts- Nope

I- Well I think there’s probably a few waiting for you at the Walmart at 23rd avenue at 4:00pm

Clint- Hopefully, yeah

I- Tell us a bit about Chapter 1 how’s it doing?

Scott- Well actually about 3 or four weeks ago we got awarded platinum in Canada there’s over a million records world wide so it’s happening and it’s very cool

I- So you guys were at Snow Job. Did you have fun there?

Dave- Oh yeah it was great!

I- Did you guys see the playback yet on muchmusic?

Clint- Yeah we watched it at Nana’s and Papa’s place and it was on

I- And you get some skiing in?

Dave- Snowboarding

Bob- We suck!

Clint- Actually we went skiing at Sunshine and it was nice

I- And we’re doing a movie next week called Never Been Kissed and right on guys your on the soundtrack. Tell about that how did it come about?

Dave- Actually about f... a couple of months ago we were in the studio with Glen Ballard and he did Alanis Morissette and many others and it was an unbelievable experience for us and we went inside there and did a couple songs and there was this song that Phil Thornly who wrote Torn he pitched us this one song and we looked at it and said " This is a pretty good song but we need to make it a Moffatt song" and we stayed up to 3:00 in the morning and recorded the whole song and it was the song that made it

I- So what kind of royalties are you getting out of this?

Scott- Well that’s something we can’t discuss on air, it’s confidential

I- (laughs) Ok fine, yeah where did that order come from? Anyways you were on TGIF on my b-day March 12th

Scott- Yeah?

I- Scott what you just turned 16 not that long ago? And you want a HumV?

Scott- I want a hummer, yeah! Oh I want one of those so bad

I- There was one parked in our parking lot this morning and it was waiting for you but it’s gone know. So what did you do for your birthday?

Scott- Well we went skiing at Sunshine the whole day, um...we skied with the owner of Sunshine and he showed us all the cool runs

Clint- We went to West Edmonton Mall

Scott- Yeah, alot of people knew about that

Bob-It was even in the newspapers!

Dave- We saw a movie. What was the movie we went to go see?

Bob- EdTV, we saw The Truman Show about a week before and if we wouldn’t of saw it, it would of been alot better

I- It suffers from comparesent, yeah but it’s cool it’s the first time you’ve ever been on a soundtrack. Once you get your feet in there....

Scott- Cool, they’re still working on some other soundtracks, This new one who’s going to be in it?.... I don’t know!

Clint- We were going to fly up to LA to see the premiere of the movie but they changed the date

I- They changed the date of the premiere?

Scott- Yeah I don’t know why they couldn’t get it in order, I don’t know why

I- They doing it on Monday in Los Angeles, would that be right?

Dave- Beats me!

I- Hey I think it’s time for a Moffatt song, do you think it’s time for a Moffatt song?

Bob- Sure, that’d be great!

I- Ok start signing!

Scott- Uh...ok, ok

I- Or maybe we should play one of the Cd’s

Scott- You know what? Play the CD then we’ll sing some aceppella

(Girl of my Dreams then Miss you like Crazy acepella)

I- I think you have a few people waiting for you at the Walmart to do the autograph session, best of lick in your tour your doing and how many shows before you get to find yourselves back home?

Scott- 17 gigs

I- Oh my god! You guys are going to be tired

Scott- All the way to Halifax

I- Cool city, ever been to Halifax?

Clint- Nope, we have a 30 hour drive..

I- You guys are driving? A bus, you see it’s the country influence that’s still in you guys! Look, there pop stars now lay they get the planes, what’s with the bus? So hanging with the bluenosers and the goofy Noofies?

Bob- Some of our cousins live down there

I- I don’t know why that microphone isn’t working

Bob- Hello!

I- Nope, it’s not working! Someone turned down the microphones, hold on a sec...

Dave- Hello?

Clint- Tae Bo?

I- You see these guys have been on the rod so long they have non idea what’s going on on this planet. It’s an exercise program

Scott- Is it...new?

I- Yeah it’s very new, but anyway good luck on your tour, have fun in Edmonton and they’re heading down to Walmart at 23rd avenue momentarily, they’ll be there around 4:00 this afternoon, The Moffatts right here on Power 92.
