- Which Championship? Northern New England Woodcock Championship in Fryburg, Maine
- What was the most impressive Field Trial performance you have ever seen (someone else's dog)? The Red Setter CH. Desperado, I judged a 45 minute horseback shooting dog stake at the Six Runs Plantation in North Carolina. He had an excellent race and two wild covey finds on quail. The bird work was outstanding.
- What was the most impressive Field Trial performance you have ever seen (you handled)? Concord Mike's win at the 1997 Northern WI Woodcock Championship. He did it all, a natural back, woodcock finds, a forward limb find on a grouse, a big race and a strong finish.
- What person or persons were most influencial in your field trial career?Peter Ecker (my uncle) he introduced me to bird dogs and field trials. Tom Gingher-he got me interested in grouse dogs and grouse trials. Pete DeAngelis- he showed me alot about breaking dogs. Antonio Dattalo-he was my first real owner and has always supported me.
