One of the sad events of our year was the loss of our old dog, Manfred, on March 12. Manfred was home at 3:30pm that afternoon and was gone when Pat came home at 4:00pm. Despite all our efforts to locate him, we were unable to get him back. A week later we got a new female puppy, who we named Lucy. She's a Collie-Yellow Lab cross and she definitely has some of the same Lab characteristics that Manfred, our Black Lab had. But then she has some of *ALL* our previous canines.
