Artists With Disabilities Alliance

Wednesday, May 9, 2007, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Carleton Artist Lofts, 2285 University Ave., St. Paul

Facilitator is Kip Shane, 612-729-6023.

Carleton Artist Lofts are several newly renovated live & work buildings. We will tour studio, rehearsal & community spaces and a sample apartment. Use the north entrance off parking lot. Please arrive on time. Since it is a secure building, we will have someone at the door for a short while to let you in. If no one is there, buzz the Pamela Veeder apartment. We will start in the meeting room across from the entrance, tour the public areas and a typical apartment, and then go into our meeting agenda. (Don’t use the University Avenue entrance since we won’t have anyone stationed there.) The building is fully accessible.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 280, go east on University. One block past Raymond, turn left on Carleton and then right on Charles to the entrance with banners flying. From the east, take University west from Snelling to Hampden. Turn right, go one block to Charles and go left to the entrance of Carleton Artist Lofts.

Join us to share your art, writing, music, questions!

Careers in the Arts Meetings, Grant Proposal: VSA arts of MN and the State Arts Board last week submitted a grant proposal to encourage continued career networking by AWDA and other groups now meeting around Minnesota. If awarded, we’d receive about $900 to use over the next year to assist with entering shows, pay speaker stipends, hire interpreters, assist members (up to $30) to attend classes, enter art events, etc. Decisions would be made by our group.
