Tin Can Telephone

Lead: Tyler

This is a very old song...Tyler sang it when he was a kid. Not sure if he'll be singing it onstage regularily or not but he sang it the first show in Red Wing. I thought you guys would like to see the lyrics even if he won't be, it's a cute song. I can't figure out the one sentence so if you know or have a correction email me.

When the paper tore
Little Matt was 8 years old
And not much more
Daddy asked him what the sticks and stones were for
He said I'm building me a kite
I'm gonna fly it to the sky

With the tin can telephone
I wanna talk to God
I know he's always home
Now that I'm in 3rd grade and I'm almost grown
I won't be as scared
Knowing someone's there

I'll have my tin can telephone
Hanging on a cloud
So we won't fall back down
When I need someone to talk to
I won't ever be alone
I'll have my tin can telephone

When he'd say his prayers
He'd say mama's way too busy now to come upstairs
She'd listen if she could God
Cuz I know she'd care
But I still got a lot to do
So I'm right here with you

With my tin can telephone
Hanging on a cloud
So we won't fall back down
When I need someone to talk to
I won't ever be alone
I'll have my tin can telephone

No one .......
No busy lifes allowed
Little Matt at 8 years old
Had it figured out

With his tin can telephone
Hanging on a cloud
So we won't fall back down
When he needs somesone to talk to
HE won't ever be alone
He has his tin can telephone

So if you need someone to talk to
You won't ever be alone
With a tin can telephone
