Thank you! Chapter 5: On the Road Again The Wilkinson's were on the bus, headed to the US for the start of their tour w/ opening act, Billy Gilman. Tyler was playing videogames with Kiaya {his family had finally stopped teasing him about his date with Ashley}, Steve and Chris were watching TV, and Amanda was on the computer. "You have mail." {AOL greeted her as she clicked online} Amanda: {looks through emails from her friends and comes across an email address she doesn't recognize} Hmmm, wonder who this is from {clicks the message open} {Dear Amanda, How's it going? It's Isaac Hanson. I would have gotten to you sooner, but we've been busy with promo stuff. Anyways it was nice meeting you in Nashville, you're one heck of a great musician, and quite beautiful if I might say so myself, and so friendly…I was blown away. We will be coming to Ontario to perform August 10th, and were wondering if you would be in town. If you're interested we've saved 5 front row seats and backstage passes for your family. If you can't make it, we'll understand as we're quite busy ourselves. Well I'll let you go for now, write back when you can. Love, Isaac} Amanda: {stares at the email in awe} Is it just me or does he have a crush on me? No, I must be reading into it too much, I have a boyfriend… {Just then Tyler walks in and Amanda closes the message, but not before Tyler has seen the name Isaac} Tyler: Isaac? Who's Isaac? Amanda: It's nothing, Isaac Hanson has invited us to their Ontario Show on August 10th. {blushing} Tyler: Uh huh and why all the secrecy? Let me see that message. {grabs for the mouse} Amanda: No, really it's uh nothing… {Just then the phone rings and it's for Tyler so he walks out of the room shrugging his shoulders} {writing…Ike, As a matter of fact we will be in town that week and would love to come to the show. However, is it okay if I bring a few friends? They are big fans of your music. See you then., Amanda} Amanda: There, that settles that…I'm sure I just overreacted. {shuts computer off and goes to bed} Meanwhile in Tyler's room… {talking on the phone to an old neighbor, Jonathan} Tyler: No way man, I've already been on one blind date and I was sooo nervous. Jonathan: Yeah well that's cuz it was your first date. It's easier after that. Tyler: I dunno man…. Jonathan: Please, I need you…I finally asked out Sharon but her parents say she can only go if it's a double date and I don't know anyone else to ask. She says her friend Crystal is a really nice girl, she's 16 too. Tyler: {sighs} Ok Ok, but only because you're my friend. You owe me. Jonathan: Anything, thank you! {Tyler hangs up and shakes his head, wondering what he got himself into.} And in the living room… {The Wilkinson's have received a court notice, suing them for stealing lyrics to write the song Shame On Me} Chris: Steve what are we going to do? I can't believe we've been accused of stealing lyrics! {sobs} Steve: {puts his arm around Chris} Don't worry, we'll be fine. We know Gary Burr and I wrote it, we just have to find some way to prove it. Chris: What about the kids? Steve: They'll have to know…I'm sorry. Chris: No, we'll get through this…I know we will. {turns lights off and the curtains close on Chapter 5}
