Born in Lima, Peru on May 4,1936. With his parents
emigrated to Chile the same year he was born. There
he was raised, educated and married Poli Goldstein,
three children and seven grand-children.
Studied at the Rabbinical College of Telshe in Cleveland,
Ohio, USA and, later in Chile, he studied Certifed Public Accountant,
profession that he exercies in
Israel since he inmigrated with his family
from Chile in 1973.

Poli Goldstein,(R.I.P)
Founding Member of the Club and member of its Charity Committee.
Born in Paris, France on October 8, 1938. With
her parents emigrated from Europe,first to La Paz, Bolivia
and later to Santiago, Chile,
where she was raised, educated and married Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein,
three children and seven grand children.
Emigrated to Israel from Chile with her family in 1973.
She owns a Bookkeepping Company where she works.
Board Member of the Israel-Chile Cultural Institute
and of the O'Higgins Israel Institute.
As a short stories writer in spanish, she is a member
of the Israel Literary Group.Published her first book "Poli's Stories".
Moshe Barbaras,CPA (Isr.)
President 2001-2002. Founding Member of the Club and President of its Leadership Committee.
Born in Buenos Aires on 1.10.44. Graduated as Auditor at the Universitu of Buenos Aires, profession that he exercises.
Married to Shoshana Barbaras. In I977 arrived to Israel with his wife and his three daughters.

Instructor for First Aid and War Nurses.
Lecturer in industries and communities.
Worked at the Bood Bank in the Arrayan Children Hospitaltal in the Hematology Department. Very active in WIZO Chile.
In Israel worked for several years at the Mishan Home for the Aged where she was in charge of the electrocardiograms section

Fritz Levy,
Born in Stettin, Germany (poland today).One year studies of Engineering at the Deutsche Technishe Hochshule in Prague. 1939 emigrated to Chile.1940-1971 active in a familiar businness. In 1971 arrived to Israel.1972-1998 independent salesman of dental laboratories articles.Since 1998 retired.
Hobbies: Photography, Andrea Prize, First prize in the Bat-Yam National Exhibition in 1972, Drawings and Healing.

Sara Donskoy,

Born in Rumania in 1939. Emigrated to Chile in 1948 and
to Israel in 1960. Married to Isidoro Donskoy. Three children.
High School in Chile and academic studies in the Open University in Israel.
Graduated the Institute of Youth Leaders in Jerusalem, there ahe participated as leader of a Sionist Youth Movement.
Ex meember of Kibutz Kfar Glikson (1960-63).
In Chile worked as Hebrew Teacher.
In Israel, taught folk dances incommunity centers.Worked until retirement in the nespaper "Haaretz' in the photographic archive.
Member of the Board of the Israel Chile Cultural Institute and of the Isntitute O'Higgins in Israel and is the Edotor of the Inforamtive Bulletin of these Institutes.
Beatriz Pupkin,
Founding Member of the Club and President of its Postcard Project Committee for very sick children.
Born in Chile in 1945. Kinesiologist and Phisiotherapist graduated in the University of Chile. Married to Dr. Juan Pupkin. 4 children, 4 grandchildren. Emigrated to Israel in 1970 with her three children. The fourth one was born in Israel.
Works as assistant in her husband's dental clinic.

Born in Chile in 1940. Dentist Surgeon graduated in the University of Chile. Worked in Chile in Maxilofacial Surgery in the hospitals San Borja and Sotero del Rio. Married to Beatriz. 4 children, 4 grandchildren. Emigrated with his family to Israel in 1970.

Pedro Zavelev,

Educated in Chile at the Instituto Nacional 1951-1956 and at School of Economics University of Chile 1958-1963 graduating as
Commercial Engineer on October 1965.
Studied Commercial Administrtion at Hebrew University in Jerusalem 1986-1987.
Married to Marion Brunschwig on Junio 1965, 2 daughters Jacqueline y Evelyn born in Chile.Three grand childre: 2 from the eldest Lior e Idan and from the youngest Yotam.
In Chile workes as investigator st the Unversity of Chile.
In 1971 the family emigrates to Israel settling first in Bat-Yam until 1997 en than in the new city of Modiin where now they live.
In Israel worked as Economist first at the Ministry of Telecomunicaions and later at "Bezeq" in the Planning Dptment. until his retirement in 1995.

Boris Fliman,
Club Member.
Born in 1921 in Santiago, Chile.Father, grand father and great grand father.
Textil Engineer.Inmigrated to Israel in 1961.Lectured in Shenkar College of Israel, in South Carolina University and Cornell Univerisity in the States.
1962-1966 Consul Ad Honorem of Chile in Tel Aviv.
Founder and Director of the "Grupo de la Palabra", a group more than 2-years that dramatizes
performences of latin american and spanish writers and poets.
Since his retirement he dedicates himself to literature, arts and community service.
Member of the Board of the Israel Chile Cultural Institutes and O'Higgins Institute of Israel. Now member of our Lions Club.
Dora Fliman (R.I.P.)
Club Member.
Born in 1931 in Santiago, Chile.Married to Boris Fliman, Mother, grand mother and great grand mother.
Inmigrated to Israel in 1961.
Sociologist-Criminologist and Social and Community Programmer. Post-graduate studies in Cornell University.
Worked inher profesiion in the Municipalities of Netanya and Tel Aviv.
Wrote some stories that where prized.
Also did work in ceramics leaving her art distributed among his family.
did not have the cahnce to be a long time member of our Club.
Died June 22, 2002.
Fany Zumer
Club Member.
Born in Lima. Peru on 4.1.1936. Married in Israel en 1955 to Shlomo Zumer RIP., 3 children 6 grnd children.After settling in Chile, all the family returned to Israel in 1955. During 22 years worked for the Israel Army until her retirement.Member of the Israel Chile Cultural Institute and the Israel O'Higgins Institute.
Ketty Begerano

Born in Chile in 1939. Active in Hanoar Hazioni Youth Movement. Came to Israel in 1962 to Kibutz Beith Hashita where she stood 6 months and than entered the Nurses School at the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem where she graduated in 1965. Post graduate studies as midwife during 1966/7, proffession that she exercised until her retirement in 2002.Widow of Jacob Begerano that passed away in 1991. 2 sons,
Shlomo Reichsthaler

Born in Germany in 1929. Since 1933 emigrated with his family to France, Paraguay and Argentina. There he they settled and married to Maria Rosenbaum. They have 2 sons, 6 grndchildren.
In Argentina was champion of judo. In 1968 emigrated to Israel with his family. Here he has been active in Maccabbi World Organization. Today retired.
Marion Kopel

Marion Kopel, born in Montevideo, Uruguay, came to Israel in 1984 with her two children. Translator in five lenguages: spanish, portugeese, english, german and hebrew. Worked as such at the Ben-Gurion International Airport during 13 years.
Entered as member of "Tel-Aviv" Lions Club in 1986 until July 2000 and than transfered to "Dan Paz-Israel" Lions Club.

Born in Buenos Aires, Villa Crespo,Argentina. Emigrated to Israel in 1987. Married, three children one grandchild.
Certified Public Accountant since 1966. Completed his studies as Licenced in Business Administration (University of Buenos Aires). His PHD is in Administracion University of Belgrano).
In Argentina, worked in Economic and Finencing, beeing Advisor to various commercial, industrial, cooperatives and banks.
In Israel, works at Internal Reveniew, Ministry of Economics since 1988.
President of the Raanana Branch of the Organization of Latinoamericans in Israel OLEI and since 1994 member of the Central OLEI where until Octubre 2002 was its Treasurer. Presently he is a member of the Legal Committee Member of the OLEI and member of the staff dealing with the OLEI Magazine.
Since January 2003 he is economic advisor.

Born in Argentina on June 2,1937.Stidied art and painting. Active member of Hashomer Hatzair.Emigrated to Israel and entered Kibutz Carmia for two years. In the city he dedicated himself to furniture business. Now retired he dedicates himself to paint and sculpture in wood. Activo member of "CICLA" (Israeli Centre for the Latinamerican Coommunities). Three children and 8 grandchildren.

Born in Mexico City on 21 June 1940. Graduated High School in the "Tarbut" school. Studied Psicology in the University of Mexico. Member of the Youth Movement movimiento juvenil Hashomer Hatzair". Emigrated to Israel 1n 1960, casada con Menajem Torchin, 3 hijos y 8 nietos. En 1985 termina sus estudios como Terapeutica Ocupacional, profesion que aun ejerce en el area de Rahabilitacion Fiica y Cognitiva en genta mayor.

Born in Santiago, Chile, 27.09.38. Stidied two year Archtecture at the University of Chile and later Law and Economics at the lCatholic University of Chile, where he graduated as a lawyer, proffesion that he exercized in Chile until he left for Israel in 1970.
In Israel married Hanna Fayerman RIP, she died in 2002. Has to children and two grand chioldren. Today an independent lawyer with exclusive dedication to the commerce between Israel and Latin America.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 17.12.1931. At three years of age moved to Chile where he was raised up. Chemical Engineer graduated at theCatholic University of Chile in 1956 and Post Graduate studies in the USA. Masrried to Ana Carp RIP, she died tragicly in 1996. In 1984 died his only daughter at the birth of her child. Arrived ti Israel with his family in 1970. Worked at Koor Enterpriaes until 1976 and than as Sales Manager at Lidorr Chemicals Ltd. Representtive in Israel Bayer AG Concern of Germany. Remarried to Matilde Fleitman.
Matilde (Mati) Fleitman,

Born in Mexico DF on 18.12.43.Graduated at the Hewbew School "Tarbut". Studied and worked as Dental Assistant. Married Dr.Samuel Fleitman RIP (1991), dentist surgeon, 4 children, 7 grand children.
In 1983 arrived to Israel. Lived 3 years in Kibutz Ein Gev. Left the kibutz and settled in Herzliha where the installed a private dental clinic. In 1999 remarried to Roberto Hochman.
Mordejai Borodicki,
Socio del Club.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1033. Resident in Israel sonce 1968.Married to Sara Borodicki, three married children, three grand children.
Worked as Goods Inspector at Hamashbir Hamercazi, than as Chief Accountant at Lemelacha Bank. After the bank was sold, worked at different enterprises until his retirement.
Active as volounteer at Yad Sarah and Maguen David Adom (Israel Red Cross).
