who was on a commercial visit to Israel. It was a wonderful ocasion toknow him during the dinner that we offered him

After dinner, our President Lion Sergio Schkolnik, wife and some members
made with him the Jaffo Tour by night.

Our Founding President, Lion Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein, Chairman of the Distrct's Music Contest Committee, organized three concerts of this year's winner, the clarinetist Moran Katz, at Moran's parents.

Dan Paz-Israel Lions Club Humanitarian International Help now goes to
Kazakhstan. In fact, humbly Lion Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein, organized the arrival from Almata,
Kazakhstan, the trip to Israel from Yuri Dorochovsky, a 56 year old blind on
both eyes, very well known local and international musician, Director of the
Almata Music Academy and Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra (among
other musical functions), to be operated in Israel with no costs for him in
the West Galilee Hospital in Nahariya by Dr. Uri Rehany, Director of the
Ophtalmology Department, as a humanitarian action.
The operation took place last wednesday with very positive results on one
eye. Should another competent cornea be available for the other eye he will
be operated next week on the other eye, too.
Our Lionistic slogan WE SERVE is a factual reality for our Club and our
District 128-Israel.

Peace Poster Competition 2004-5
In the presence of Joossy Nashri and Avishai Levin, Mayors of Kiriat Ono and Ganei Tickva respectively, District Governor Israel, Lion Geri Rot,the Principal and teachers Alumim Scool of Kiriat Ono, "Ganim", Scouts of Ganei Tickva, our Club Members and public, the selection of the Peace Poster chosen between the participantas of Alumim School and the Ganim Scouts Tribe was done.
The jury: Menajem Torchin y Mordechai Feldman, hadd a difficult time to make their choice of the psoter that will represent our Club in the National Peace Poster Contest.
Lion Estela Markelevich, Chairpaerson of the Committee, was in charge of organization of the contest and the ceremony that was very succesful.
Both Mayors, our DG, Lion Touvia Goldstein, our Club's Founding President (1999-2001), and our President, Lion Sergio Schkolnik (2004-2005), took the stand to say some relevant words on the festive and important ocasion.
Li Katz, student of Alumim School, won the contest and will represent our Club in the National Peace Poster Contest.

Invitation to the Pictures Exibition of Chile by Miguel Rotchild.
A very emotive openning ceremony of the pictures exhibition "Views of Chile" by teh photographer Miguel Rotchild, was held at the Sharet Gallery in Petach Tikwa in the presence of Hon Itzik Ohayu, Mayor, Mrs. Sally Bendersky, Ambassador of Chile, Gery Rot, District Governor, Touvia Goldstein, President of the Israel Chile Cultural Institute, Dr. Zully Marcovich IPP of Dan Paz-Israel Lions Club and the artist, Miguel Rotchild.
I their words the above praised the artist and its beautiful pictures and the Israel Chile Cultural Institue fot its 20 years of permanent activities to present in Israel the chilean cultural values.
Rotchild in his words thanked all the institutions and persons that collaborated to organized this exhibition.
The musical touch was given by Rachi Guttman.
The 100 people who where present enjoyed a very nice and cultural evening.

Peruvian Lion Visits Israel Once Again
Peruvian Lion Eduardo “Lalo” Aguila visited Israel once again. Our Club President, Lion Sergio Schkolnik and his wifw Lion Eliana Schkolnik and Lions Rachel Piatkes, Touvia Goldstein and Boris Fliman received him in an agreeable friendship meeting.
New Lions Club in District 128-Israel. Now in Beer Sheva
The new Lions Club, “Achva BaNegev” had it’s Charter Ceremony on December 14th. Our Club President, Lion Sergio Schkolnik and our Founding President, Lion Touvia Goldstein represented our Club in that meaningful ceremony.

Monthly meetting of our Club Jan. 6, 2005:
1.- Visit of District Governor Lion Gery Rot,
2.- Conference Coronel (R) Dany Horev about "The Army in its efforts for Peacc",
3.- Reception of the Ganim Scouts Tribe rendferin the eye glasses collected in the campaign in Ganei Tikwa.
A total of 10.000 eye glasses have been collected.
Our Founding President Lion Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein, has been speacilly invited by the FOLAC of Montevideo (03) and of Santo Domingo (04,) to organize Intercontinental Multiple Twinning events. In the first between 5 Clubes and in the second 79 Clubes in both Dan Paz-Israel LC included.
As the FOLAC of Cartagena (05) did not consider in its program a Multiple Intercontinental Twinning Event, Lion Goldstei proposed and it was accepted that a Meetting of already Twinned Clubes together with Clubes interested in Twinning to be held in the frame of the FOLAC and of CIRCLE.
IPDG Lion Maximo Montero of Santo Domingo undretook the challenge to organize the reunion and with the help of other Lions and of Lion Goldstein via e-mail, organized the event that took place on January 20, at 15:00 hours in the Hilton Hotel in Cartagena.

March 5, 2005. Lecturer:Eran Donskoy on about Experiences of Ship Captain.
On January 14th, 2005,our President visits the twin Club Manquehue Las Condes in Chile On January 14th, 2005 our President, Lion Sergio Schkolnik and his wife, Lion Eliana paid a visit to the twin Club Manquehue Las Condes in Chile. During this cordial visit that contributed to make the link between both clubs even closer, our President had the opportunity to inform the fellow Lions about the activities of our Club as well as to learn about theirs. The Chilean Lions were very much impressed about our activities.
A large delegation of our Club participated in the National Sport Day organized by our District.
On this ocasion, besides the the good time all had on the Carmel Hills and Woods, we had a stand to sell products that its revenew increased the Social Funds of our Club.
Excellent Purim Festival organized by our Club.
This year, the Music Contest Committee, was also chaired by our Founding President Lion Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein. The instrument was the trompet.

June 9, 2005.- Our Club participates in the Third National District Assembly held in Nazareth.
On this ocasion our Club was honored with the Prize of the Best Club in new and special projects.

It's with great emotion and the sense of Mission Acomplished that we inform that, in the beautiful ceremony of Change of Authorities of District 128-Israel held in Kfar Hayarok on June 18, our Club, Dan Paz-Israel Lions Club was honored with the prize of the Most Distinguished Lions Club of the District 2004-2005.
Our President, Lion Sergiuo Schkolnik, as soon as the prize was announced, went together with the President of Druze Bet Jean Lions Club, who received it last year who rendered to our President and it will be kept in custody in our Cluyb until next year.
In the meantime, the numerous delegation of members of our Club present stood and aplaused strogly and very proudly.
