Shocker Sport 4x4

Shocker Sport Basic Operation

The firing of the Shocker Sport is controlled by three primary electronic components: The controller board, the firing solenoid and the bolt solenoid. A solenoid is an electronic device consisting of a metal core suspended within a coil. When current flows through the coil, the core moves. Solenoids have many applications, but in the case of the Shocker sport, they are designed to control the flow of a relatively low volume of low pressure gas. The controller board's purpose is to route current to these solenoids and cause them in turn to route gas in a useful timing pattern, that is, one which will operate the gun. Beyond these three items, the Shocker is like any other paintgun, using o-rings, valves and springs to operate.
