Running, racing,
Never catching up,
Never slowing down,
Always in a hurry,
Always on their own,
Gliding in by day,
Gliding out by night,
Hurling to the shore,
Heading out of sight.
Repeating,
Non-relenting,
Fighting for their life,
Appear and dissipate,
Away into the night,
Never gaining distance,
Always hitting shore,
Always hoping, "just once",
But never getting more.
