Bigfoot screams heard outside Two Harbors

WHERE: 7or 8 miles outside Two Harbors, Minnesota on County Road 3

WHEN: Late August 1990 or 1991

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS: Witness lives on the northern Lake Superior shore 10 to 15 miles from the Superior National Forest boundry, in very wooded rural country. He saw the Minnesota Iceman display when he was 12 years old and was always somewhat interested in the Sasquatch topic, but not to a great degree.

One evening, at dusk, in August 1990 or 1991 he was in front of his home 7 or 8 miles from Two Harbors on County Road 3 when he heard heavy bipedal steps in the crunchy leaves about 150 feet from the yard along a creek. He usually had a dog that probably would have barked before any wild life got that close, but he had lost his dog prior to this.

Not knowing what it was, he went and got his shotgun and fired into the air. A second later the unseen visitor let out an intense scream that was almost louder than the shotgun blast. The scream lasted 2 or 3 seconds, beginning like a donkey bray or pig squeal but merged into a yodel-like call, a deeper resonance at first but changing to a high pitch. Whatever it was then ran away, again with bipedal steps. But then it stopped, paused, and STARTED TO COME BACK along the creek. The witness fired his shotgun into the air a second time, and finally it fled. Large sticks were heard breaking as it ran. No tracks were found, as the ground was covered with leaves.

OTHER NOTES: Witness feels this was very possibly a Sasquatch, and knows of some 2nd-hand accounts of loggers having Sasquatch encounters in the area over the past 20 years (1980-2000).

Perhaps this is the same Sasquatch reported in the Two Harbors account that is also displayed on this web site.
