This sighting was submitted to me by a man who was talking to a friend of a friend about "scary" stories at a horse show in 1996. The story does not have a whole lot of details, but serves its purpose nonetheless.

WHEN:1992-1993 (season not specified)

WHERE:Two lane highway in the Sandhills of western Nebraska.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESSES:The two men were hauling a load of cattle down the highway to a cattle show/sale. It was very late at night. The driver thought his friend in the passenger seat was sleeping. All of the sudden a "big hairy thing" ran out in front of them. "What the hell was that!" The driver yelled. Both assumed it was a Bigfoot. "We were very scared. I hit the gas and got the hell out of there."

OTHER NOTES: The person who submitted this report to me had this to say. "This guy wasn't lying. He got goosebumps just telling his story. I have driven in the sand hills area, and it is fairly remote. I can see where a creature like bigfoot could exist in that area."
