WHEN: Winter of 1978
AVTIVITIES OF WITNESSES: "Back in 1978, I lived in Hugo, Minnesota. I was eight years old at the time and used to go hunting in the area woods with my friends almost daily. That particular winter we seen bigfoot tracks on several occasions in the woods. At first we didn't know what was causing them. We thought it might have been a bear. One day we went hunting after school and it was very cold and had much snow on the ground. We were hunting behind behind one of my friends homes in the woods and came upon a big open clearing with no trees. There were two bigfoot standing ther in the middle of the clearing with their backs to us. They both turned their heads around and looked straight at us. They had a very frightened look about them. I don't think they heard us coming and we caught them by surprise. We all three turned and ran back to my friend's house as fast as we could. We were terrified ourselves and nobody looked back one time. We got inside the house and told my friend's father about what we had seen and he advised us to call the sheriff's department. They came out and we shown them the tracks and they just laughed and told us to stop pulling pranks because they had better things to do with their time. Later that evening, after dark, we were watching t.v. at the same house and we heard a loud pounding on the back door. We looked out the upstairs window down onto the back door and saw a large hairy figure standing by the back door beating on it. It was dark so we couldn't tell for sure if it was one of the two we had seen earlier that day. After a minute or so he ran off into the night. The following morning we went outside to play behind the house. Some distance behind the house, his dad had a huge steel storage building he used for storing a Bobcat tractor, and two big pickup trucks. The steel door on his shed was torn clean off it's hinges and there were huge dentsin the steel on the front of the building. It lokked as if someone beat the hell out of it with something. Inside, his Bobcat tractor had been flipped over onto it's side, and there were bigfoot tracks everywhere. We never seen the bigfoot again after that, nor anymore tracks."
OTHER NOTES: "One was about 7' tall, and the other was about 5 and a half to 6' tall. They both had the same color body hair. It was a medium brown and medium in length. They were very large stocky creatures. Their faces were covered with hair also. I've seen artist pictures where the faces were hairless like a gorilla, but that wasn't the case here. I believe they may have been male and female, or possibly parent and youngster. The best way I can describe the length and color of their hair is to compare it to a grizzly bear's hair. One thing that definetly needs to be known is that when I first began to spot bigfoot tracks everywhere, I would encounter strange things left behind that were left right next to some of the tracks. One time I found tracks and right next to one of the footprints lay a large solid frozen fish I believe was a carp. There wasn't any bite marks missing from the fish from other predators. Another time I found half of a moose's rack (antlers) laying in the snow by one of the tracks. To my understanding there are no moose in that part of the state. Something clearly brought these things into that area. We had several lynx bobcat around and it's possible they may be the culprits, but we never seen any other tracks other than bigfoot tracks. This leads me to believe that past reports saying that bigfoot is a vegetarian is false information. I believe they hunt their prey. I also believe thay are harmless to humans because if they were dangerous either one of the two we came across could have easily caught us. We were all young and the snow was fairly deep and we coldn't run as fast as normal. Yes, you have my permission to use my story. I appreciate the anomitity, not because I have anything to hide, but because there are too many skeptics out there who don't know what they are talking about."
