WHEN: October, 1995

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESSES: Guy and a friend named Jez were duck hunting on CRP land north of Hawley when they saw a black upright form about 4 city blocks away. They knew it was not a moose, nor a bear. It was over 6 feet tall. It began to run on 2 legs, swinging its arms, first up a hill and then down through thick, high grass. (Later they would find that they had difficulty walking in this grass, but the creature ran through it fast and easily.

The creature then ran across a gravel road. A car was coming down the road and had to slam on its breaks to avoid hitting the creature. The car then drove off and Guy and Jez never discovered the driver's identidy. Guy said that he payed attention to the news afterward, but no mention of the creature was made.

OTHER NOTES: The terrain is mostly open fields and pasture, but with scattered small groves of trees where a roaming Sasquatch might shelter temporarily. The time of the sighting was before noon.
