One Day

She walks along the beach,
Empty and alone.
Joined only be the light,
Of the Shinning full moon.

The rhythm of the waves,
Crashing upon the shore,
Feels like the beat of her heart,
For it too is alone.

He no longer calls,
To fill her heart with joy.
She no longer sings,
Of the love deep inside.

She once believed,
That love could conquer all.
Now just that thought,
Tares at her soul.

She was once His,
In the true sense of the words,
And if Love was all that counted,
She would still be His.

But sadly it is not so.
The world would not allow,
Two hearts filled with love,
To beat in time, to beat like one.

Now she walks the shores,
Lost and all Alone.
Her heart still aches in need,
Of something she cannot find.

“One day” he tells her,
Her heart will find joy.
“One day” at a time,
And “One step forward.”

But with each step,
It takes her further away,
From the one whom she loves,
The One who brings her joy.

She knows he is right,
That time can heal all wounds,
And it is only certain nights,
Where that seems so lost.

She is still alone,
And very confused.
No longer does she know,
What she desires.

Things used to be clear,
She used to understand,
What she wanted to be,
And who could steal her heart.

Now that heart is locked away,
Behind so many closed doors,
Many have tried to unlock,
But none opened them all.

So many new blocks,
Have filled her soul,
Because of the Love she had,
The love that she lost.

“One day” she thinks,
A man will come,
One with the right key,
And the walls will crumble.

“One day” She thinks,
A man will come,
And at the very sound of his whispers,
The walls will collapse

For now though, it seems,
She is doomed to walk,
The shores at night.
The shores all alone.
