Endurance
The eve has fallen,
Love hangs in the balance.
The night breaks in,
And Darkness ensues.
Love's still there,
In it's many forms,
Battered and beaten,
Ripped and torn.
Love's still there,
It will hang on.
The Pain is strong,
But Love's still there.
The Pain grows large,
Love seems so small,
Darkness invades,
Light is banished.
The sword is drawn,
The battle rages on.
Who will win?
Who will fall?
"Love conquers all"
Or so it's said.
But that's not true,
Look at the faces of the dead.
Love doesn't fight,
It just endures.
Love doesn't inflict,
It just feels.
The pain rejoices,
Victory in hand.
The cheers goes up,
It's time had come.
The Battle is over,
The War's still on.
Darkness reigns king,
But Light's not gone.
The fight has ceased,
At least for now.
A break is called,
But shall resume.
Love reimans,
Still battered and beaten.
Love endures,
Still ripped and torn.
Anger is quick,
With great furry.
Anger is strong,
But lacks endurance.
Who will win out?
It's not written in stone.
If Pain can't kill,
Then Love will endure.
