1) With the counter showing, hit the Print Screen key (in the upper right corner of the keyboard).
2) Click Start, go to Run, type in "paint" and click OK.
3) Go to the Edit menu, select Paste.
4) A box saying "The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap. Would you like the bitmap enlarged?" may appear, if so click Yes.
5) Go to the File menu, select Save.
6) Type a filename. On newer versions of Windows select JPEG File Interchange Format in the Save As dropdown.
7) Click Save.
8) Close Paint.
It is also important that you not save the file as a bitmap (.bmp) because those are huge and I will cry and cry if I receive one of those. So if you're the winner, just email the screen capture to me and tell me what kind of pic you'd like me to create for you, and that's it! Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone. There really is nothing to update today, but I'd like to announce a little contest that I will be running. On my index page, there's a counter for the number of people who have visited my site. I need to quit beginning my updates with the word 'well.' Okay, I added another story to the story page called 'Came Apart' which deals with some shady goings-on at the big K. I don't like it very much, because no matter what I tried, it just wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be. Plus I lost the outline I had written up for it, so I was just kind of writing on it every once in a while without a purpose. Dammit.
I might do a little more writing this week, because my boyfriend Greg is out of the country on a marching band trip and I am feeling a slight loneliness creeping up on me. Makes for good writing. I also need to start drawing more, since the art page is beginning to look neked. Speaking of which, I'm gonna try to update the look of the art page a little and make it cleaner. Plus, I might also put each piece of artwork on a seperate page, complete with its own description. If that happens, I might convert the ad banner to a pop up instead. If I do that, you can just minimize it and it won't pop up in your face again.
Wow, I rambled a lot today. Just goes to show you what crappy weather will do to a person. Peace out.

Hey, I haven't died, really! I just have been busy doing nothing these past few weeks. Actually, I have been up to a few things. Like I started scanning in comics and the like from the Journal, so I can get a start on my Journal memory page. It's going to be sweet, with lots of the comics, pictures, poems, and even some of the memorable conversations from the journal. I am also considering putting up a comprehensive version of the journal that is a text file of all of them (that we still have) from start to finish. I'm trying to think of how to include all the margin notes and the like, so if anyone has a good idea about that, email me.
The journal page will also be my first attempt at using tables to organize the data, instead of just text and links. Hopefully it will have a more professional look to it. I also promise a better color scheme (not that the eggplant color scheme was put together without deep consideration, mind you...) So yeah, I guess that's about it. I have a few stories in the works that may be finished by the end of this week or the beginning of next, and also a couple pieces of artwork that are calling out to me to finish them :) Cya later.

Well, it's been a few days since I've had a chance to update much of anything on this page. One reason is that I haven't had many dreams or drawn a whole lot. Another is that a lot of my friends are home at the moment, and we've been hanging out. But fear not, I'll update stuff eventually :)
One thing of note, though. I was looking at one of my favorite websites the other day. I send in artwork to them frequently, but they have been really slow to update the art page. Well, today I went to look and it had finally been updated! And a piece of my work was posted! You can go see it here. Just click on 'Fanart,' it's in the latest update. If you don't want to go there, just go see it on my art page.
If you happen to read this some time after the next update on that site, then my pic will be in the archives, so search out my name, or you can search by month, I think.

Yeah, so I added another dream today, and that's about it. You may be wondering why I haven't added a bunch of new art recently. Well, it's all due to this super-complicated pic that I'm trying to color right now. I spent too much time inking it, and now it's too detailed and it's driving me insane. Ack. Well, at least I know you'll all appreciate it when I'm done. The pen drawing is at the top of the Fan Art section on my art page, so go take a peek if you're willing.

Short update today, one picture and 2 dreams. I'm busy working on like three pieces of art at the moment, and it will be nice to get those finished. I'm also doing some writing. If you liked my 'Rain' piece, then you should like these once I post them. I'm also planning to update the look of the site a little more, with a better color scheme :) I'm going to add a links page, plus a page devoted to Final Fantasy, the best thing in the world! Yeah.

I added a few new pieces of art today, plus a weird dream. I should have the pics from graduation, plus a few from my recent trip to the park, just as soon as a finish up the roll and get them developed.
You know, I was at work yesterday, and it was like the craziest day ever. I head cashiered for like 2 hours while the head cashier was on her break, and when it got so busy up at the service desk that she had to go up there and I was sort of given the responsibility of taking over for her. And I swear, it was calm and quiet in the store... until I had to head cashier. Then it became rowdy and busy and hectic, and no one would come up and work the registers! Ack, Target life is hard... but I learned how to put Target Card applications through the computer, which was helpful.

Well, I went to see all my high school seniors graduate yesterday, and it brought back all sorts of wonderful memories about when I finally got to leave my K-12 career behind. Even the weather was about the same, only it was raining on top of the coldness. I do have kind of an interesting observation to relay, though...
I was sitting roughly in the lower middle portion of the bleachers watching the ceremony with Mikel and Mike. Then, across the football field, we noticed a guy in a black trench coat stalking around and being generally suspicious. He proceeded to approach the back door of the Fine Arts Center and try to get inside, before turning tail and disappearing into the mist from whence he came. I of course was just waiting for him to pull out a gun and begin shooting all of us in the audience, but maybe I've just been watching too much Dateline NBC.
Ah, well, I'm presently working on "polishing up" (i.e. finishing) another piece of writing, and I'm busy coloring a very complicated piece of art which may be up some time in the coming week. I also really positively plan to complete my bio page, and I'm working on a Final Fantasy page which will be so beautiful and wonderful and good. Have a good rest of the weekend.

Okay, so Wednesday I spent a lot of time using the computer. During the day, I finished a picture and posted it here, and then went to eat dinner. In that time, my dad used the computer. When I got done I came to use it again because I wanted to finish up a few things. I went to a look at my web page just to check and see if the picture had been posted correctly. However, when I clicked on the link, all I got was a blank screen. Well, I thought once again I had screwed up my page, but just to check, I went to another art page, and lo and behold, the same thing happened. It took my dad and I like an hour to fix it, but at least it wasn't my page :p

Darn, Target sux. I'm gonna start working on my bio page just as soon as I find some pictures of myself that I don't mind posting... and that might be a while :)

I added a new piece of artwork to the art page today, and also another dream, though this one is more icky than zany. Well, I can't be crazy all the time!!! I'm thinking of creating a bio page, like a big egotistic biography of myself. Heh, I know everyone really cares about the weird things I did in my childhood :) Ah, well that's about it, be cool.

Well, all the basic stuff is finished as of right now, and my prom photos are up on the photo page. I also added my dream journal today, and hopefully the weird dreams will be in great supply. The art page is up today as well, complete with unnecessary thumbnails of each pic (which I did just to see if I actually learned how to do it, you know how that goes.) On the Writing page there are only 4 entries, but I seriously have like 4 stories or pieces of writing in the works at the moment, and I hope to have a short piece done by the end of the week. Yeah, let's cross our fingers.
I'd also like to add that I went to see the movie Pearl Harbor today, and it was really, really depressing. I don't know whether I really liked it or not, but it was intense, and it's hard to get over the fact that it all actually happened. Ah, well, on that note, have a swell day!

So I was sitting at home by myself, and decided that it might be fun to create a webpage so that everyone could share in my insanity. I thought it would be easy.
If only I had been right.
In any case, it took me two tries to get this baby up and running, and in case you're wondering, my first attempt went up in smoke once my index page fried itself. I swear it wasn't my fault! So now I'm trying to lay off the colorful backgrounds and ubuquitous (useless) silly pictures, and maybe it will all work out.
Well, barring any strange happenings, Jessi Land is officially open for business. I know it looks naked now, but I'll try to make the site prettier as I have time (which is in large supply, since I'm on summer vacation). Home
