Gaming
Well, if you know me, then you know I love video games, mainly RPGs and the like. And I'm always interested in being updated about new things to come in the gaming world. I also get to see fan artwork and literature from other fans which inspires me to contribute more to my artwork.
RPGamer has a thriving news and information section, as well as popular (and semi-weekly updated) fan work sections. New articles are posted daily, and so is a write-in Q&A column. Good for news and for fun. RPGamer The Gaming Intelligence Agency also has a focus on RPG news and information, but isn't updated as frequently as RPGamer. It still provides fan art and fan fiction sections, with work that is accepted on a less strict basis. The GIA If you're interested in the Final Fantasy series of games, then you're probably familiar with Nobuo Uematsu, the composer who's contributed to each game. This page features interviews with Nobuo Uematsu, plus sheet music for some of his most popular compositions. Art
I love to draw, and I also love to look at the creations of other artists. These sites feature some great art and quirky personality.
Megan Levens' style of art is amazing, though the subject matter sometimes leaves one a little perplexed. Look for great work with markers. Artwork by Megan Levens Icy Brian's is a large archive of RPG fan art featuring numerous artists, from beginner to expert. Icy Brian's RPG Fan Art Gallery Great Anime-style drawings can be seen at Aimo Ahmed's Ink Soup. Originals and fan art alike feature Aimo's great artistic skill. Aimo Ahmed's Ink Soup Julie Dillon's SOLACE showcases her fine art and also features several tutorials on drawing in the Anime style and working with programs such as Adobe Photoshop. These are all things that are fun and quirky, and don't quite fit into the other categories.

The Onion If you're into the whole video game emulation scene, Eight Bits of Joy is a great place to find a lot of rom files for the NES. Most of the classics are represented here, as well as a few obscure and hacked titles. Eight Bits of Joy roms The Way In, created by Zachary Knowles, is one of the most innovative pages I've visited. I discovered it because of his fan art, but there are some great articles and also fun recounts of Anime conventions. And damn, the kid is funny. Go To This Page! It's worth your time. The Way In If you've ever played an NES role playing game, then you should definitely visit 8-Bit Theater. It uses sprites from the original Final Fantasy in a comic which is really very entertaining, even if you have a slow connection and have to wait for each page to load. Plus there are some links to some really great Flash Animation sites, both serious and in fun, that also use original game graphics. A great time-killer. 8-Bit Theater
