Heading to Denver for some fun in the Sun.

Tara's adventure to the Big City down South for the most amazing night of her life!

Even to this day I still get giddy when I talk about my adventure to Mile High Stadum on June 20th for the Nsync concert. Of course I had my second half Nina with me, and we were on a mission to have the most fun of our lives.

In the early morning of June 20th, 2000, I was up at 5 a.m. getting ready for the Nsync concert that was more than 12 hours away. My mother continued to tell me how crazy I was for going so early, but I shrugged off her warnings and continued getting ready. I called my companion Nina at 6 a.m. to make sure she was awake. She too had been up for an hour prepairing for what would turn out to be the best day of our lives.
I informed Nina that since we were both ready that she should come down early and we could get a head start...At 5:45 a.m. I heard a knock on my mother's appartment door followed by loud squeals. I opened the door to see Nina bouncing up and down excitedly. I joined in the display, why shouldn't we be happy? We were 19 rows from the stage and right next to the floating stage for "This I Promise you."
I gathered my belongings and hoared my mother into the car. I offered to drive since my mother wasn't fully awake. To my suprise she accepted my offering as I jumped up and down from excitement. I love her brand new convertable, and now we were showing up to the concert in it!
After an hour and a half of slow moving traffic due to rush hour, and my mother misdirecting me, we were finally at the mighty Mile High Stadium. Nina and I jumped out of the car as I told my mom thank you for the ride and that I would be home about 11 that eveining. We ran to all the gates looking for someone that could tell us where we could get Meet 'N Greets. Finally when we got to the first gate we were greeted by a small line of other teenies already trying to get in. We were told that the first 10 people in line at the west gate would get Meet 'N Greets. Nina and I jumped up and down excitedly. WE WERE THE NINTH AND TENTH PEOPLE IN LINE!!!! What luck I thought, but our excitment dwindled as we sat there for hours waiting for someone, anyone, to tell us what was going on. Finally, a man that looked like he might be a bodygaurd came to the gate and tole the line that he would be out in an hour to oganize and give out Meet 'N Greets. Our hope returned and again dimished as two hours passed and still no sign of the man.
We saw our next opertunity when we were talking to a woman with an Austrian accent. She said that was from the company that took professional pictures at the concerts. She told us that she was looking for people to work before the concert and told us that if we wanted to, we had to meet her at 4:30 p.m. at gate 6 for check-in.
The hours between the events are a little faded, I remember trying to win better tickets and Meet 'N Greets through radio stations, but had no luck. I also remember continuing to sit at gate 1 hoping that the man could come back as promised. Because of him neither Nina nor I went to go get any kind of food or water. By the time 4:30 rolled around we were both suffering from dehydration. I was lying on the ground in the middle of a group for some sort of protection from the sun, but it wasn't long until we were in Mile High Stadum being given directions on what we were to do.
While walking to our post Nina and I saw a vending machine and bought as many bottles of water and soda we could afford. It helped a great deal. We had a little over an hour until the gates would open and we had to go to work, so we setout finding our seats. It was a very easy task so we went back to our post and started reving up the croud by screaming what the boys so often do..'When I say N you say Sync....N' we continued this for quite some time seeing which side of the gate could scream the loudest. The funny part was when we heard our names being screamed over the large heard of people. To our suprise some girls from school had recognized our voices. It was great! Some girls even gave us their money trusting us to bring them back water. We felt so loved and honored.
When the gates opened it was like a rush running to people handing out coupons for pictures and whatnot. At 7:00 we were realeased from duties, but of course not without a payment. We were given 30 professional pictures from the previous tour. Giddy with excitment we ran to meet our other friends at our seats a beammed over what we had done. At that moment Ron Irazary was on stage, he was really good. He was followed by Boyz 'N Girlz United, but I did not enjoy them as much. My dehydration had caught up with me and my head was throbing so I sat down and tried to relax.
Finally, Steve Fatone came out and got the croud hyped up for the main event. A wave of screams came pouring down and by this time I could care less about my headache. I was jumping up and down, hugging Nina and screaming 'WE WANT NSYNC' along with the croud.
The curtain dropped and the screams got louder. We saw the band and the stage, but no guys. We were waiting for Nsync to pop out, but little did we know that they were hanging above the stage, about to decend to 'I've Got No Strings To Hold Me Down.' From that moment on the show was an in your face, non stop, high energy performance. I loved how they got the croud into both Tearin' Up My Heart, and Just Got Paid by doing trivia and having the fans pick the song. I personally wanted to hear Nsync sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but Tearin' Up My Heart is one of my all time favorite Nsync songs, so I wasn't upset. I was amazed at what a big production the guys put on for the fans. The coustumes and dance moves fit each individual song perfectly.
I think out of all the songs the 3 most memorable were: Just Got Paid, because when they shot off the confetti the wind picked it up and made it look like it was snowing. This I Promise You because we were right next to the floating stage and even got JC and Joey's attention. I was screaming for all of them when Joey came over and I sceamed 'I LOVE YOU JOEY!!' and blew a kiss to him. He smiled, waved and blew me a kiss back. I was in shock because he had actually heard me. Last but not least Digital Get Down was very memorable. With the 'floor humping' and the loud screams they got for it, and I loved the lasers that they used. At the end of Bye Bye Bye while, the guys were retreating to their bus, we got an awesome fireworks display that left both Nina and I in awe.
Walking to meet Nina's sister in the parking lot for our ride home we talked about how amazing it was, and how we had to see them again. Hence our Las Vegas trip.
All in all, I would have to say that Nsync are some of the best performers out there. From the time the show starts with the opening acts, to the time Nsync leaves the stage, the show was filled with excitment and energy. I would tell everyone that if you haven't seen Nsync live that you are missing out on something great. These five guys sing and dance so well that it amazes me. Everyone can find something in Nsync to relate to. Weither your a fan or not you have to respect Justin, Joey, JC, Lance and Chris for being amazing people, and being able to give so many people a little bit of happyness.
