There`s a trip you should take
to a place named Hay lake
the city rush you can forsake
and relish in the waters gentle wake
A place great for everyone
to just laze upon the beach
or frolic merrily in the sun
a day of eaze you can beseech
Under the light of the moon
out on the pontoon boat
to hear the haunting call of the Loon
may cause fond memories to evoke
While drifting on the water
make a little wish
watch a playful otter
and maybe even catch a fish
Perhaps the best time of all
to take a drive to the lake
would be early in the fall
so that you could partake
Of the trees in majestic colors all
and for slappin and itchin`s sake
after the skeeters expire and fall
to enable outdoor grillin of a steak
