SHINING STAR AFAR

If I had myself a car
and could travel near and far
perhaps I would lose my wordly fears
if I could only hold you near

Tho now as I shed a tear
your passing has made it clear
that life is nothing mere

In this lonely room I hear
your resonant voice so clear
telling all gathered here
better answers are drawing near

Thoughts of you being afar
perhaps perched upon a heavenly star
make me wish that my car
could transport me to galaxies far

To be with you where you are
in your quest to seal cancer in a jar
so many lives it can no longer Mar
