The Demise of
"The Big C"
Two years ago on 09/16/09
I had surgery for Colon Cancer on that day in time
It has been a rough fight one day at a time
But today I am doing just fine
I`m not looking for sympathy
Tho I now suffer the side effects of Chemo
Most pronounced is the Neuropathy
Just one of the side effects that haunt me
Chemo helped to bring on my 4/17/10 heart attack
My will to go on started to lack
But Fran,my Family and Friends helped me fight back
It was so great to have my support group intact
The Doctor and tests now say the Cancer is in remission
And so with all of my groups permission
I will forge ahead and take this position
With your help We`ll keep this cancer in submission
My fondest hope is that not a one of you
Ever have to suffer with this affliction
