The Arch

Updated: March 20, 2003

I have decided to re-vamp the whole thing. Ta-da!

Stuff That I Feel Strongly About, Politics, and Other Things That Are Neat

In no particular order:

Concerned Women for America, The Human Life Review , Ludwig von Mises Institute.

American Heritage Foundation, Townhall.com, Fool.com and The National Archives and Records Administration (because there are just some things people ought to read at least once (especially some of the people who make laws out there). The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights being three very important things.

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America.org

CO2 & Climate.

And for those of you out there who are based in Minnesota, try the K-9 Rescue website or the Feline Rescue Website. Also, for the more wild, The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota is an "international medical facility for birds of prey". Can't hurt to look around a bit, can it?

These are writers whom I admire and think are quite intelligent, even if we do differ at times. Thomas Sowell, Michelle Malkin, Walter Williams, Linda Chavez and Larry Elder, all conservatives, all inteligent and I don't think any of them could possibly beat me for white-ness (actually, no one can! haha!).

I've just decided to add on the BBC and The Scotsman. I'm looking for more overseas online news sites.

Harry Potter Stuff:
Yes, I know I'm pathetic

This is the Scholastic Website and the Warnerbros website.

For those out there who have been waiting for Book Five, here are a few of the more well known fanfic websites: The Sugar Quill, Gryffindor Tower.net, The Werewolf Registry and FictionAlley.org

Individual People Links:

A site that is made for those of us out there who are in need of a laugh, Strangers With Candy made by a weird girl with an even weirder sense of humor.

And also, Leti's WebpageShe's funny, she's a lifeguard, she just went to one of those truck things where they destroy cars by the dozens. But yeah, she's okay (oh such praise has never been heard before!!) :o)

So the plot is never going to happen, but Cassandra Claire has written, and is still writing, one of the largest HP fic's that I've ever read. Absolutely awesome, took me about a month to get through it all. Each chapter is worth the wait though, she's a great writer. Start with Draco Dormiens, then work your way through the trilogy from there!

Starling is a talented artist and I would strongly encourage you to go and check out her collection. It is really beautiful! I love 'Sierva Maria de Todos los Angeles' and 'Merlin the wizard'.

Also, Lydia Kornegay-Báez has two locations where you can find her work, the link attached to her name is to her Elfwood Fantasty Art page, the one attached to her Fan Art takes you to her illustrations for Draco Veritas for which she does a really cool pic of Rhysenn. Please also check out her other drawings, one of my fav's is 'Faerie Cabaret' (Which is sadly enough, no longer on Elfwood...), I'm also really impressed with her celtic knotwork, 'Burnt Leaves' is especially lovely.

This is Veralidaine's fansite and her profile can be reached here. Lovely writer, "Fa A Bhialainn Ann" is a treat to read! Fun, confusing, fluffy and deep all at once. I love her version of Remus!! :o)

R.J. Anderson rules, and this is her main website. Her Darkness and Light Trilogy can be reached here along with a few cartoons and other scenes from the trilogy. Erica H. Smith has written a couple companion pieces to Rebecca's Trilogy and her own Denizen of the Deep: A Hogwarts Fairy-Tale.

Very sweet, enough so that I think a 12 year old might get a kick out of it. Alphabet's True Love's First Kiss.

Random Stuff:

Latin Dictionary and Grammar Aid, I always wanted to learn Latin. Don't know why, just thought it might be interesting.

For awhile I was very interested in the meanings behind names (who isn't at one point or another?) So I found Behind the Name: the etymology and history of first names and I thought it was quite interesting.

Signed up for drawing classes at my school, but wanted to go in sortive knowing something. So I searched the internet and dug up a few tutorials. Julie Dillon's Drawing Tutorials were by far the best. Not really into Anime but it gave me some ideas. Took Astronomy as well, decided it was worth paying attention to. Two websites that are pretty much basic: Space.com and NASA's Homepage.
