Our Beloved Prophet (SAW) is the best example for mankind in every part of life. Since this site is based on Muslim’s Health & Fitness I wanted to show you all how are Prophet Mohammad (SAW) use to keep him self in good health and what his appearance was. Insha Allah may Allah give us the strength and courage to be as close as we can be in looking like him and be as healthy as he was. Amen.
His physical appearance.
Hind bint Abi Halah narrated: Rasulullah (SAW) was taller then an average man, but shorter then a very tall man. His head was moderately large, but looked handsome. His hair was somewhat wavy and the forehead was broad and conspicuous. The two eyebrows were separate, arched and thin. Between them, were there was a vein that would swell when he felt angry. His nose appeared high having a shine and luster on it. His beard was luxuriant. The tow cheeks were even (not sunken), fleshy but not flaccid. The Pupils of his eyes were dark black. His mouth was moderately broad and the teeth were small and shining. There was a little gap between the front teeth.
His neck was slender and good looking. It was fair and attractive like silver. All his limbs were moderately muscular and the body was somewhat robust. The stomach and chest were even (there being no POT-BELLY), but the chest was wider and there was somewhat greater distance between the two shoulders. The bones of his joints were big and strong.

Bara ibn ‘ Azib said: Rasulullah (SAW) was of medium height, broad-shouldered, with his hair hanging down to the lobes of his ears. He had seen him once wearing a red robe, and had never seen anyone more beautiful than him.

Abu Ubaida ibn Mohammad said that once asked al-Rubaiyyi’, the daughter of Mua'wwidh, to describe Rasulullah (SAW) to him, and she replied “ If you had seen him you would have seen the sun rising”.

Kab ibn Malik reported that: Whenever Rasulullah became pleased, his face shined so much that, and it appeared like moon. We thus used to recognize when he was pleased.

Anas bin Malik reported that he did not count more then fourteen gray hair in the head and beard of Rasulullah (SAW)

Jabir reported that he saw the Seal of Prophet hood in the middle part of Rasulullah’s shoulder. It looked like a red colored tumour as large as a pigeon’s egg.
His Manners while eating.
Kab ibn Malik narrated: Rasulullah’s (SAW) noble habit was to eat three fingers which he used to lick after having finished the meal

Anas bin Malik reported: Rasulullah (SAW) never ate on a table cloth, nor did he ever eat bread made out of fine flour throughout his life.

Asmah bint Yazid narrated: Once food was served to Rasulullah (SAW) and then to us. We said: “ we are not in a mood to eat. “ Rasullah (SAW) said: Do not mix your hunger and your formalities.

His bravery.
Anas bin Malik said: Rasulullah (SAW) was the best, the most generous, and the bravest of men. One night, the people of Medina heard a sound. They were startled and went in the direction of the sound. There they met Rasulullah (SAW) who had gone in the direction of the sound before them. He said: You have nothing to fear, you have nothing to fear!
He was riding a horse without a saddle belonging to Abu Talha, and had a sword slung round his shoulders. He said: I found the horse could run like a great river.
