Kid: Go get 'em champ...

[-Benoit stops walking and stares at the kid. He nods his head and keeps walking, on his way to the ring..-]

Lilian Garcia: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for tonight’s MAIN EVENT! Wrestlemania I proudly brings to you, the WWE Undisputed Championship match! This match is scheduled for one fall and is for the WWE Undisputed Championship! Introducing first, weighing in at 224 pounds, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he is the WWE Intercontinental Champion, CHRIS BENOIT!!

RABID WOLVERINE! Benoit’s music begins to play as the fans get on their feet. Benoit makes his way out onto the ramp with his WWE Intercontinental Championship around his waist. He points down at his belt and then raises his arms high into the air. Benoit looks set and determined for tonight’s main event. He makes his way down the ramp towards ringside and slides into the ring. Benoit goes over to the corner, steps up onto the second rope and raises his arms into the air. Benoit then walks over to the other corner as he takes off his Intercontinental Title….steps up onto the ropes, and raises his title into the air.

Lilian Garcia: And his opponent, weighing in at 227 pounds, from San Antonio, Texas, he is…the HEARTBREAK KID…SHAWN MICHAELS!!

SEXY BOY The letters ‘H…B…K’ appear over the Titan-Tron as ‘Sexy Boy!’ blares over the P.A. system. Suddenly HBK struts out onto the ramp to a huge pop by the crowd. HBK begins to dance down the ramp, stopping half way. He falls to his knees and raises his arms into the air as fireworks shoot out behind him. HBK jumps up and makes his way towards ringside. Shawn climbs up into the ring….walks to the center and poses for the crowd, as fireworks again shoot out behind him.

Benoit quickly comes up behind HBK…and hits a PUMPHANDLE SUPLEX! HBK immediately gets back to his feet….Benoit runs in….PUMPHANDLE SUPLEX BY SHAWN! HBK retaliated with a suplex of his own!

Both men get back to their feet and get to their corners as the referee calls for the bell for the match to get underway. Benoit and HBK meet at the center of the ring for a stare down. Benoit with a quick RIGHT…NO! HBK grabs Benoit’s arm…and spins Benoit into…a FULL NELSON!

HBK has it hooked…but not quite locked in. Benoit leans back….and hits Shawn with the back of his ELBOW to break the hold. Benoit runs towards the ropes…no! HBK grabs Benoit by the hair…and pulls him to the mat!

HBK starts to pull Benoit back to his feet…but Benoit TACKLES Shawn to the mat! Benoit sits up…and starts to PUNCH AWAY at the Heartbreak Kid! Benoit gets up to his feet and raises his arms into the air as the fans start to cheer. As Benoit turns around….HBK does a handspring….and hits the Crippler….with a BODYBLOCK! What a move by HBK!

HBK grabs hold of Benoit by the legs…and locks in…the BOSTON CRAB! The referee checks the situation…but Benoit quickly reaches the ropes!

HBK holds onto the boston crab for an extra couple of seconds before finally breaking the hold. HBK grabs Benoit by the neck and pulls him up…THUMB TO THE EYE by Benoit! Benoit grabs HBK…IRISH WHIP…HBK comes back…with a DIVING SHOULDER BLOCK!

HBK gets back to his feet….and hits…a ROLLING ELBOW SMASH to the face of the Crippler! Shawn goes for the cover ……ONE….TWO….KICKOUT BY BENOIT!

HBK and Benoit both get back up….FOREARM SMASH BY HBK! Benoit falls back into the ropes….but comes back with a CLOTHESLINE! Benoit grabs HBK by the hair and pulls him back up…ELBOW by HBK…STANDING DROPKICK!

HBK quickly attacks Benoit from behind…and locks in…a CHOKE SLEEPER! Referee Earl Hebner is checking for a tap out….Benoit is trying to fight the hold….Benoit manages to pull himself up….JAWBREAKER!

HBK falls back as Benoit turns around….right into a BACK HEEL KICK! HBK goes for another cover …ONE…..TWO….KICKOUT!

HBK can’t believe Benoit managed to kick out! HBK starts to argue with the referee….Benoit rolls HBK up from behind ……ONE……TWO….THR..NO! Benoit almost beat HBK with a roll up right there!

As Benoit gets back up…he holds onto HBK by the stomach….he pulls HBK to his feet….BELLY-TO-BACK SUPLEX! Benoit pulls HBK back to his feet….PUMPHANDLE SLAM! INTO AN ARM HAMMERLOCK BY THE CRIPPLER! Hebner’s now checking Shawn Michaels….Benoit is tightening the hold…but HBK manages to reach the ropes!

As HBK slowly starts to move to his feet….the Crippler KICKS Shawn Michaels in the back of the leg. HBK tries to come back with a kick of his own….BLOCKED! WAIT! ENZIGURI! NO! Benoit ducks it!

HBK falls to the mat from the missed kick but quickly gets back to his feet….but runs into….a FIREMAN’S CARRY! Benoit goes for the cover …..ONE…..TWO…..NO! Only two!

Benoit gets back to his feet….and hits…a SPINNING LEG LARIAT! Benoit pulls HBK up to his feet….IRISH WHIP! HBK comes running back….CROSS BODY! Caught by Benoit….right into…a FALLAWAY SLAM!

As HBK is on the mat….Benoit locks Shawn in a GRAPEVINE! HBK is writhing in pain! The referee is checking on HBK…but he refuses to give up! HBK tries to reach over the ropes….but Benoit lets go of the hold…and drops an ELBOW across the neck of Shawn Michaels!

Benoit pulls HBK up to his feet….pins him against the ropes…and begins to choke Shawn out with his forearm! The referee begins to push Benoit…but Shawn comes back quickly with a SHORT-ARM CLOTHESLINE! What a move by the crafty veteran!

Benoit quickly gets back to his feet…but HBK SLAPS Benoit across the face! Benoit is furious…and runs…into a SPINE BUSTER!! HBK moves over to the corner…and is calling for….SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!

Benoit is slowly staggering to his feet…Benoit turns into….SWEET CHIN MUSIC!! NO! BLOCKED BY BENOIT! Benoit takes Shawn by the leg…and trips him to the mat! Benoit is locking in….a HALF BOSTON CRAB! Benoit has got Shawn’s leg wrenched! Shawn starts to push up…..he’s pushing against the force of Benoit….and REVESES THE HOLD!

Benoit quickly lets go to relieve the pain from the reversal. Both men are slow to get to their feet. Benoit gets to his feet first….runs in….CLOTHESLINE…NO! HBK ducks….Benoit turns….into SWEET CHIN MUSIC!! HBK HIT IT!
